Yuuup, 08 Dec 2012The most stupid comment ever made.3 a good network? Are you ... moreif you believe that working as a sales droid in phone retail makes you somewhat of an expert then you're delusional. I'm saying Three is good because I have extensive experience with UK networks, not just on a personal basis but also for corporate phones. And yes, Three has proven to be the best amongst the big networks. They all do make mistakes, and if you think that for your stolen phone Vodafone or T-Mobile or O2 would have treated you differently then you need to have your head examined.

The only one that makes himself look like a fool is you.

And again, this aside the fact that Three doesn't put in such apps in its phones anyways. But feel free to pay much more for essentially the same phone elsewhere, whatever floats your boat.

Microsoft doesn't want the carriers to deeply embed their apps in Windows Phone. They want a smooth experience across all their Windows Phone devices.

Three have the best coverage I have ever had in the UK, I live in Lincolnshire and in all the rural parts I get HSDPA Connections 90% of the time, sometimes falling to 3G :P

MrTruth, 08 Dec 2012Nonsense. Three is still much better than other UK carriers... moreThe most stupid comment ever made.3 a good network? Are you a fool.3 has the worst coverage and wins worst customer service every year.If you worked in moblie retail or had even the slightest idea about phones and networks youd know 3 are a shambles.Try phoning them and telling them your postcode and wait why they transfer you to every department to work out what a postcode is.Great network if you want to order a curry and to top it off try and get a pac code and wait for 40mins untill they put you through to 10 different departments.Only a fool with no idea would bother with 3.Enough said youve been warned.

Sherry, 07 Dec 2012Three is crap...the network sucksNonsense. Three is still much better than other UK carriers. They have their network built for data (unlike other carriers) and are the only carrier that actually does offer true unlimited data. T-Mobile and Orange (now called Everything Everywhere) are expensive (especially their LTE offerings which comes with embarrassingly low data caps). O2 is probably the most incompetent network operator ever, which also applies to it's other brands like GiffGaff (which says it offers unlimited data but once you actually make use of the data they kick you out, and support is almost non-existent). There are others but they are essentially just rebands of the major networks, and none of them offers a data optimized network and truly unlimited data as Three does.

The only drawback with Three is that their network is 3G only, so they can't be used with non-3G phones.

Aside from the fact that Three UK doesn't cripple its phones with shitware as other carriers do, on Windows Phone all you need to do is to uninstall the carrier apps to get the basic experience. The only things that might still be limited maybe video calls and tethering, but again not with Three UK.

WP is not like Android where carriers have complete freedom to botch the OS with crapware.

The 820 is 1.5GHZ dual-core while the Xperia J is only 1GHZ single-core. The built-in storage of the 820 is 8GB and up to 64GB external while the Xperia J is only a measly 4GB and only up to 32GB external. The camera of the 820 is 8MP with Carl Zeiss Tessar lens, F2.2, dual LED flash while the Xperia J is only 5MP LED flash. THUD!

Then, it surely looks like you are confirming that it has a carrier sim lock. Just wanted the author of this article to have that one confirmed, as i dont like that "sim free" and "off contract" are not differentiated in most articles here.

You can find it in the windowsphone store website, that some apps require 1GB RAM.

The 820 fails because it has only 800x480 resolution, thats not enough for midrange now, i mean, i had that resolution on my phone in 2009, even low end Xperia J has higher resolution.

Too bad the 620 has so good processor and then so bad RAM.
