I agree, with the new nokia 620 this phone looks good and thats it. Nokia will have front camera, NFC and all the nokia apps. What is HTC doing?

With the release of the Lumia 620, this device doesn't have a proper unchallenged position any longer. Over priced and less character, this 8S. It rightly isn't coming stateside.

Great phone with great design. People who are deriding the eye-catching tile interface of windows 8 do not appreciate innovation. What is android?just a copy of iphone interface-same sliding features, same apps view. Microsoft did try something out of the box and it succeeded.

Why would anyone buy a WP8 if it is not made by Microsofts partner/puppet Nokia?
- 2012-12-07 18:29
HTC windowsphone is obsolete phone, thats why price is cheap, nobody wants a kid phone with those funny microsoft tiles which is for kids. Better buy upcoming galaxy s4, or s3, or any android device.

You would find a bookmark for our homepage though which can be deleted by the end user

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-12-07 16:09 from XNtq - click to readYou would still have a customized phone. Like in NOkias of old, if they were not sim free they would have special menu items and shortcuts and the browser homepage could not be changed, it was hardcoded to the carriers own start page. So no, better to pay those 225 they mention there instead, thats a very good price.

Waiting for this model to be released in india. I presume that HTC has done a good job in getting the right design, hardware and software. Hope there will be no disappointments!
- 2012-12-07 16:13
I'd rather get the lumia 620.

Contract Length: 24 months
Inclusive UK voice minutes: 2000 mins
Inclusive UK text messages: 5000 texts
Three-to-Three UK calls: 5000 mins
Internet Allowance: All-you-can-eat data

Actually thats not the full price of this phone. The 8S is not a budget phone, it will cost much more SIM free. This price of 179.99 is PAY AS YOU GO and you can only use a Three SIM card, its wrong of GSMArena to call it off contract. In other european countries this phone is being sold for up to 280 pounds (the most extreme case i seen), but then its SIM free. Expect to pay around 230-240 for a SIM free 8S for now, soon lower.
