BUT I think they should do like they did with their 2011 Xperia line, and offer an upgrade entirely UP TO THE USERS Risk...

I updated my wife's Xperia Pro to ICS and she was fairly happy after that...

Now we are on the hunt for an Acro S

I have been wondering, if the upgrades will be soooooooo late what version for xperia S will get 4.1 or 4.1.2 like the s2.

hey dudes... your devices already across the finish line, just upgrade your device..
unlike Nokia, they have a worst policy, every Lumia only stuck with OS (WP series) installed from the start. WP 7.5 upgrade to 7.8 its a joke, now WP 8 with no guarantee. ELOPS very genius, he push the customer to buy a new nokia device every six months

Sony are rubbish at updates, how can a phone that is less than a year old not receive any updates? Poor customer service.

"after thorough evaluation, we concluded that the user experience for our 2011 Xperia smartphones will be superior if they remain on Ice Cream Sandwich versus being upgraded to Jelly Bean.", is Jelly Bean slower than ICS?

Xperia Sola and Go have the exact same internals and Sola even has a better screen, yet Go is the one getting the JB update -_-

Feeling really lucky right now for not buying Sola a few months ago.

Our god only thinking spreading his belief known as "Schmidtism" and then ignores us as the veterans which are old, slow, and no more reliable to go to war!

I own a xperia sola and if sony is really aiming for the better user experiance of the phone, what made sony think the xperia j's specs can handle jb more than the sola's specs? is it cuz solas bit old? maybe the age cant handle it? come on sony whom do you hire for these lame excuses?

fine just give us a stable ics and fix the camera speed for pointers it takes too long to capture a picture compared to gb cam speed

Update schedule sucks !!! I hope sony shall understand it, when xperia s owners shall go for SGS3 or nexus 4. Sorry but android fans, who buy "flagships" are very sensible when it comes to updates. I SAY NO FOR MANUFACTURES WHO DO NOT CARE FOR SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE OF THEIR SOLD PHONES.

Check your facts, 3GS has iOS6, its the 3G that doesn't.

> In reply to Anonym @ 2012-12-18 18:03 from N$iZ - click to readOh, before anyone comes raging in, the 2008 iPhone 3G has also been discontinued from updates.
Currently the update list starts with the 2009 iPhone 3GS.

But hey, Apple is evil, Sony cares about "user experience" so all 2011 phones are obsolete as well as some 2012 phones.
Now who's the one making overpriced crap stuff?

So far only the very first iPhone isn't getting any more updates, can you see the difference?
