Samsung acknowledges Galaxy S III sudden death, fix is on the way

Samsung finally addressed the issue known as "sudden death" on some Galaxy S III and promised a fix.

I guess they set the timer wrongly in the firmware suppose to start the SD activation only 2 years later :P

                  sadly i experienced this trouble , i sent it to samsung Egypt, and they promised they will fix it and i will get it back tomorrow!! it had been a week now, and i miss my galaxy SMART ANDROID phone so much :(

                    I better buy S3 with sudden death ten times than buying cheap plastic like Lumia 920.
                    At least the problem is software and solvable with complete replacement unlike 920 which is the problem in whole build quality + OS.

                        Samsung should make phones that die after the warranty ends. they will sure make more money that way.

                          amazing ... a 500euro phone that can die unexpectedly.

                              I have a Galaxy S2 and it die suddenly when i leave it charging overnight last December, after 1 year and 4 months of use, is this sudden death affect not only S3 but S2 too?
