No OTA upgrade available in India. But Samsung service center provides the upgrade.

Can someone please help me? I flashed jellybean 2months ago on my phone and it's really slow and has so much lag. I already rooted it and used superseeder but it didn't help. Can someone please give me a official rom of 2.3 or gibgerbread for s advance. Please. I'm from the philippines. Please help

Hi,
I tried updating the Firmware via Kies, however, there was some problem. It did extract the Firmware files however it never got installed in my phone.
However, as per theassassin47 advice I have updated my S advance to JB and its working fine. Its official and its not a rooting of device. Its very simple. Just following the steps and you will succeed in updating your phone to JB 4.1.2.
However, there are couple of options missing. Smart pause and Smart stay.

Hi All,
The new JB update is gr8 barring a few issues
* The battery drain is a lot and unbearable, upto 30 % more battery usage even in idle mode
* there is a delay in opening basic windows like call logs messages and stuff
* phone restarts automatically even when u specifically select the shut down option
I've checked a few forums and i've tried backing up the phone and peforming a factory reset after the update but it still hasnt helped
Any help from anyone would be highly appreciated

Install Odin and select that firmware .....within 10min ur device will run JB.

I have updated my Galaxy S Advance to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 using Kies..The official update has bean rolled out via Kies only. Performance is very nice. got zoom option in camera, Ram increase to 625 MB, nice user interface. surround effect in music & more on.

performance is not very good.. good improvement in browser and many features have been added like camera zoom in video and photo shoot, directly initiate a call when message is displayed on screen hired from s3....overall its gd.

Awesome performance!!!!! Updated the phone to jelly bean v 4.1.2!!! Its an official update!! Battery lives upto 30 hrs without the usage of internet!! No hangs and lags!! Great phone with a great update!! :-D
