It's all a poss, I think.
Generally, Consumers have larger expectation rather than truth in terms of the cutting edge.
8 core processor doesn't need yet, I think.
Needless to say, of course, someday in the future It comes true to show up Exynos 5 octa, but not yet.
When do you guess they show up Exynos 5 octa?

if you are familiar with the DSLR area, you will notice one group of photographers are the spec chaser, whenever a new camera out, with higher Megapixel, more ISO, faster shutter, these group of photographers will rush in and ridicule the other camp of lousy spec.
now samsung fans sound like that. spec chaser. LOL
