Desire x has a dual core 1ghz with just over 700 mb ram (sorry forgot the exact amount). Also, don't expect the u to get jelly bean as it doesn't have the required amount. So the Desire x seems to be a little more kitted out than the u.

Wait a minute... the original HTC Desire has 1GHz processor, 576 MB RAM, same GPU as Desire C and enough ROM for ICS (250MB system even runs JB)... and yet it was never updated, due to "hardware limitations". I call bull on HTC!!!

well dats another phone down the drain htc wont update it to jelly bean cos it has just 512mb ram htc needs to tone down their ui it takes way too much ram

Amit, 25 Jan 2013I clearly remember HTC said that they wont be launching low... morethe real reason why they said to not making any low-mid range phone is because they didn't have resource for it.
but HTC's last quarter performance is looking good,
so they have more money to develop more phones now...

Galaxy S3 Mini is way better than this phone. If this phone is way cheaper than S3 Mini, consider for it.
