How many more times i have to tell people that hardware must come first, software come later. If there is no hardware, there is no way to make sure your software is bug free. Do you think that window is optimize for multicores when intel was making Pentium 4? You havent written a single line of code, so stop being savy.

30-50ms is 1/33rd-1/20th of a second, unlikely a human can see that change (at 25 fps the human eye can't see changes at all, but even at 18-20fps the eye can be fooled especially if it happens only once when starting a app) , take for example the laptops and PCs with multiple graphic cards? do you see moment when they switch?

Since I'm a SGS1 user I can't help to notice this in the news:
"The switch between core groups happens in 30-50ms."
This is quite some time, so this means the phone will have occasional lag?
Like when you start a game or at the beginning of a 1080p movie?
I don't trust Scamsung too much, but we'll see what progress will bring when I see SGS4 in live action.

It seems some people didn't even actually READ what the post says. They're are saying that either the a7 cores will be working or either the a15 (when more power is needed). There is NO NEED to optimise for 8 cores since only 4 of them will be working. Never more than 4 cores will be working and the will be the same core architecture type as said above. Either 1-4 a7 cores will be working at max, either 1-4 a15 cores will be working at max. There will not be a mix of a7 and a15 cores working together.

their is no software that optimize the 8 core.. im sure samsung will overpower the product with 8 core to sell well. 10 million per month. lol. to ambitious. at least they they innovate the core.

Nexus 10 dual did great with compared to the other
Quad CPU s and s4 gonna get 4 high performance a15 for HD games and more high end process
While a7 quad will run basic apps and calls
IOS and android phones hardware need to be compared with there
Android and iOS not act as the same
Also Sam's say it has octa cores but act as quad

IOS updates are worse because all the updates are same.. Only minor changes are seen which is hardly noticeable by end users.. My iPhone 3gs started to lag after IOS 5 update. So there's no quality in Apple updates.. They degrade the performance with same boring OS and Ui..
Samsung updates are far better. S3 will surely be supported for 3 years(at least) and each update is likely to wow the end users. Premium suite update brought many features like multi - Window..samsung gives those features to their customers which did not exist when the end user unboxed the device unlike apple who was greedy enough not to provide siri for iPhone 4 and lower.
Samsung add features to existing phones whereas apple add a phone to existing features.

Upgrade is useless. All android applications/games works only in 2 core processor. You cannot fully use your new mobile with 8 core in maximum use. That is only a marketing strategy to trick the peoples mind due to high processing. Mobile phone is not like pc to buy high end computer to use this program in maximum use like autocad. Better to stick in mid range mobile phone than buying 8 core mobile if it is useless in daily use. If samsung make a mobile phone that transform your phone to pc that is best phone i can recommend. Asus is trying to make one of them but in android form. Mobile phone transform in to pc for work a big wow for that. Mobile phone upgrades showing they have fastest chipset in mobile that useless in daily use.

i had an iphone 4, and it became so laggy after updating to ios5. now it's even laggier on ios6. same of everything that precedes the iphone 4.
might as well install windows 8 on a netbook! HAHA
