It's an expensive piece of jewelry. Nothing wrong with that. People buy diamonds and pearls with less usefulness besides dangling on their ears and necks. The smart features are a bonus. How much do people pay for Rolexes which only gives you the time of day? Rolexes are tough but very few people actually use them for arctic expeditions. Guys with full featured chronographs and digital watches that James Bond could use don't go around bashing Rolexes.

Sapphire glass and titanium aren't worth 8000 Euros.
Plus the specs are totally sub-par.

                        What a load of trash.

Umm.. this is a weird enigmatic phone with an equally as puzzling advertisement. It's hideous, small, has a low-resolution screen, underpowered chipset and middling DRAM, all accompanied by an awkwardly placed 64 GB of internal flash storage that you don't even see on most high-end phones. What is up with this product?

The phone unit itself looks like it's something back from 2006.

"The company is keen on touting the rigidity of their new smartphone and claims it's got a body that's 5 times stronger than the competition and a screen that's 4 times harder to scratch."
Yeah sure it is, it is also about 10 times more expensive than it's competition. I bet you that most Vertu owners don't even know how to use it.
