After this update a new option appears in the cellular menu for LTE but you lose the option to switch to just the 2g network in case if you want to preserve your battery life, secondly this update comes with a new bug in which your time still last full charge will never tell you if you plugged your phone in for charging since your current battery cycle like it did before.

You may be right that thieves won't be interested in contact details. But removing a SIM card from an iPhone won't disable any remote lock command. And the remote wipe will still work as soon as it is switched on and connected to the Internet regardless of which sim (or even no sim) is in it.

Similar I think, to the way Htc sense works ( although I may be mistaken there).

As long as it works I am happy. Oh, by the way. You have no idea how the robbers operate. You can't even do a wipe to your data, they just turn off the phone, remove the sim card and you won't have access to your phone any more. I think they are not interested in your data.

rromerof, 20 Feb 2013Yeah, but iPhones have the worst. You can bypass the lock s... moreThis bypass only allows very limited access to the phone & for someone to have access to do it means they've probably already stolen your phone by which point security conscious users will have remote wiped it.

so how is that worse than the NFC bug which allowed someone to hack an SGS3 by just "bumping" it & then allowing the hacker to steal all user data & force the phone to make premium phone calls without the owner's knowledge?

Or the bug which wipes an android phone by simply visiting a website that contains a USSD code?

The simple fact is. No IT system be it a phone or a computer is completely 100% safe but Android seems to take the cake and eat it when it comes to security bugs & issues.

Want several videos? wAnKdroid..(see what I did there I inserted 2 letters to make android a derogatory word - does this mean I'm now as clever & witty as you)?

Eventhough its a single bug they focused on, they have changed some features around - The earlier version allowed you to change the ringer volume from the lock screen, which cannot be done now with the latest version!!! Also the ringer volume can never be brought down to 0 now. Not sure why they are changing features in between releases...

My iphone4 does't get any good effect on battery life its same as in ios6. steve jobs made the best ios 5.1 it is the best ever ios i hav used since i have using ios devices. Apple should have to do some thing very serious with there operating system. Android is doing best with there os and it will becoming better from apple ios day by day.

The update should focus on the app crash.. its one of the reason why i don't buy iphone.. apple should have taken more time to fix this.. even if its only "one" update.. at least its worth the wait right?

You can bypass the lock screen and steal the victim's contacts so easy. Tested with three devices, I don't have one. Do you want a video? (crApple sucks)
