I was anxiously looking forward to this device. I'm an owner of the original Note, which was refreshingly large enough to read e-mails, books and pics but still too small for practical surfing, pdf's and taking full advantage of the amazing sPen. The Note 8.0 is the perfect size to fit flat in my side pocket and I almost always use the speakerphone. However, what's this about no camera flash? Some sites say that it's there and others say that it isn't. That would certainly be a tragedy. I only want to walk around with one device, one device that does everything. Please, Samsung, put in a flash! Please, please, please!

Ja, you believe that Samsung with Android OS are the best? , As it shows that they have never had a Nokia 1100, those phones are indestructible. xD lol.

Your gonna nead it. Android mini tabl... moreIn contradictory, Samsung must be pretty happy now. Just a single model from Samsung can pose so much threat to the iPhones. Now look at how much phones Samsung has in their arsenal. No wonder Samsung is the top phone seller in the world.
Apple on the other hand, can only try to limit Samsung sale by suing them. When you can't beat them, sue them. Delay their sales. Such is Apple's creativity, isn't it?

1. 1080p resolution? yes! I'm actually fine with 720p or 1280X800, but hey, it's pixel war now
2. AMOLED? sure. But isn't PLS samsung's version of IPS? they're lcds anyway
3. i prefer side speakers. I'm cool with home button. But here in note 8, i think the home button ruins the front appearance.
4. Yes to slimmer bezel, but not extremely thin. Bezel is useful to rest your fingers when holding the phone.
5. LED flash? I don't think it is necessary. Higher resolution camera? probably.
But i think taking pictures with a tablet is really ridiculous.

Your gonna nead it. Android mini tablet never sold well. The best one was the nexus 7 which only sold 3 million.
Best of luck Samsung. You know your in trouble when the 4s out sells your s3 flag ship.

Better ... moreLightning connector is not a innovation but a great design. i used to have problems with connector like microusb, usb, etc which i need to look at it before plugging it. Lightning is directionless, so it's really conveinient.
if you have used macbook before, the charger is also a good design. directionless and very easy to connect due to magnet.
and notice all the connectors of macbooks are on the side. I often seen people having to bend their head over to find out if there are connectors behind the screen. if you put only on the side, it's easier.

I'm even used to handling it with one handed operation as I'm doing now with a soda in my left hand. Occasionally I use the other hand for support when thumb can't reach the far corner. Maybe that's why I don't understand why. Still bezel seems larger than the other Galaxy Tabs so I can't imagine this being the real reason.

people, they cant put the latest, most expensive components into every device. not everybody wants or needs top end components in every device. it will be priced accordingly and you can be sure upgraded versions will be available

2. IPS or AMOLED display
3. dual front speakers (so no home button)
4. slimmer bezel to keep the overall size down
5. led flash (perhaps higher resolution camera)
I would gladly pay $400-500 for it.
