Why would they partner with Sony when they just bought Motorola? Its funny people lament how Nokia and rim use to be the big dogs, I remember when Motorola were with the startac flip phones lol, the next nexus will be moto, and hopefully that godaweful motoblur is put to death.

AnonD-118847, 01 Mar 2013Amusing comments from Google, especially when you consider ... morereleasing an update doesnt depend for motorola only.If the phone is not popular and the carriers dont find it attractive (not the case for atrix and the razr family) they wont release the update.
Moto is one of the best manufacturers and well experienced.Im sure the x phone will be sth special and well above korean and chinese plastic and thousand uf unnecesary cpu cores

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2013that's why that X phone is something to look forward for!coz of rumored specs.

But personally, i would say it would have been much better if Google have increased the availability of Moto's devices in Europe and Asia & Middle East. Additionally they could have given Moto's devices "Nexus" status with super-fast updates. With all this Moto could have become a Major player by sales in this very short period.
But Google failed to do this... they shut Moto in Asia. Europe has very limited availability..... All this proves Google is talking rubbish.. Moto had such a huge battery on their flagship last year...... but...

Amusing comments from Google, especially when you consider that the one Motorola phone which was really innovative when Moto was purchased was the Atrix - the first dual-core phone, the first (and currently only) mainstream phone with a fingerprint scanner, Webtop, Lapdock etc etc. This innovative phone was EOL'd by Google's Motorola less than 18 months after it was released and remains on Gingerbread despite the fact that a functional yet not complete ICS ROM was leaked.

Pretty pathetic from MotoGoogle if you ask me.

Needless to say, Motorola didn't release the code for the leaked but unfinished ICS ROM. Thankfully, we have some dedicated enthusiast developers who are working hard on writing an ICS kernel for the Atrix from scratch though without any assistance from MotoGoogle.

The Atrix is well-built but I'll never buy another Motorola phone, that's for sure.
