For those who are complaining about "cheap plastic", nowadays many phones are made in Polycarbonate including S3 which having the characteristics of excellent toughness, thermal stability and a very good dimensional stability.
Polycarbonate is one of the most widely used engineering thermoplastics, and it is even being used as the material of riot shield and safety helmet.

So please, stop putting "cheap" in front of the "plastic", it will simply show how ignorant you are. Although I really hate Samsung's design, but they still have good build quality undeniably.

Wow sammy is spending a LOT of money on advertising. They say a good product sells itself but really it's just marketing first apple now sammy, bigger marketing accounts than innovation teams.. Just sad and watch how many sammy fans will say they love the huge plastic look lol sammy fans are the strangest ones around no joke

I only have 1 concern.
TOUCH RESPONSE IS terrible. The worse of all... it does not show up on reviews because you cannot see it. But if you use fast touch response phones like iphones or windows 8 phones or htc one x, and use a s3 .. you will know what i am talking about.
Its like playing a game with bad control, you cannot explain it.. until you play it.
Samsung better get this fixed or else its time to move to a tegra 4 cpu phone.

I heard the screen isn't as strong. but that's issue of durability of screen glass, and the screen glass alone. Other than that I never heard of issues of it breaking down or falling apart on a user, or even igniting into a ball of flame.
The S2 (which was the device in the argument) was tested to be more "durable" in drop tests than other brands. However other oem's devices such as iPhone4s, htc one s, xperia s, n9 were just as well built as the S2. In fact, all phones in the high end market has great "build quality" in the definition of build quality. The quality of a device doesn't just degrade because you don't like the material used.
