I just came from the future to confirm, as of November 08th, 2023, Windows Phone and Windows Mobile are dead for good. Rest sure your prays were taken into account.

just been looking for the 8860/9962 ver on navifirm 1.7 and they are not there??? latest FW for all WP 7.5 devices is 8858 which is the faulty halted ver!!??

Live tiles issue not solved and now my Wifi also stopped working..

update is currently available in the Philippines. first update was 8860 then 8862. was hoping that there were major changes like usb storage mode when connected to pc, etc.

You should read more times before saying something. I'm quite sure that i haven't said that windows is bad it is a quite good system. A very good and stable. But MeeGo with this kind of support would have crushed android like a bug...

Secondary Windows Phone 7.8 update 7.10.8862 is rolling now. I just update my LG Optimus 7 and Lumia 800 both unlocked.
I can say for sure the Live Tile issue is fixed,for most apps i have pinned on my start screen.Nice work Microsoft!!!
