As for this X phone ,It's only available from the Play store means you can't get it if the Play store services is not supported in your country and if you want it you gonna have to pay double the price for it to buy it from outside the play store .So what google needs to do is making the play store available worlwide if they need for this X brand series to succeed and that is not going to happen over night .

I was waiting for a Sony Nexus device, but I'll do with a Motorola one. As long as it doesn't have that over saturated AMOLED screen.

If this is true, it'll be great news! I've been waiting 4 customizable phones 4 a long time! However, non-removable battery is an absolute NO GO! Can't figure out y all these companies make top range fones with non-removable batteries n no SD card support! That's y their sales suck!

It's not new but... there is something between Samsung and Google, when the side of Google showed some jealous too Samsung b'coz of being supremacy of Samsung in androidland. If you read the article,a few weeks ago. That's why Samsung pushes tizen os for 3rd quarter deployment. And, maybe Samsung and Google will separate ways on that time.

I already own an iPhone 5 but I still plan to buy an android phone for me to test it's capabilities against my iOS. And I'm just waiting for this phone to be released before I buy one, so my choices would be: Galaxy S IV, HTC One, Xperia Z, LG Optimus G, and Motorola X.

So here's what I want Moto!

1.) 5.0" Display with good viewing angles and vivid colors.
2.) Nvidia Tegra 4 or something that would match the current flagships.
                        3.) 2GB of RAM.
4.) At least 16GB of internal memory and MicroSD expandable.
5.) 8 to 13MP Camera with good low light shots and flash.
                        6.) Front camera.
7.) Battery life that would last a whole day of moderate usage.
                        8.) Good build quality
9.) Clean front surface (No visible android buttons)
                        10.) Relatively light(about 120 - 140G)

                        and Most Importantly!

                        LOW PRICE

The foremost reason I don't see this working is that varying internals will mean less uniformity for custom rom development, which will inevitably occur on a large scale if this phone is being sold in the Play Store with just a single guaranteed version update.

All Google need to do is "delayed" update for Samsung, eventually kick them out of Android list, let them sell their Galaxy with Tizen or Window8, then we see how many still willing to buy Galaxy phone with Tizen or Window8 ? I would anticipate Samsung mobile go chapter 11 within 3 years.

It is okay even if the X is a lineup of mobile phones from Motorola or simply just one flagship phone that will stand against Galaxy S4, Xperia Z, One, Lumia 920, Optimus G Pro, etc. Motorola needs to make sure that they will have all the specs these competitors have or at least most of the killer specs that others have and add more innovations. For me, the perfect specs of the flagship should be:

                                1. Snapdragon 800 or Nvidia 4i clocked at 2.0 ghZ.
                                2. 4.7 to 5" full HD 1080p TRU IPS or LCD3 display covered by a Dragontrail glass with Kevlar back and never an AMOLED.
                                3. Speakers should be dual and strong, put it on top and at the part of the phone.
                                4. Should be at least splash resistant or water proof and dust proof.
                                5. 3,000+ mAh li-po battery
                                6. 64GB ROM with micro SD slot for up to 64GB or 128GB ROM even without a micro SD slot and 2 or 3GB of RAM.
                                7. LTE capable
                                8. NFC capable
                                9. 13 to 16mp rear camera with Sony's Exmor RS Sensor with 1080p video recording and a 5mp front facing camera capable of 1080p video recording.
                                10. And last but not the least, Google should make the OS to Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and they should make it exclusive for quite a while to make sure they will be ahead of the game than others and on par with Nexus devices!

These are my main priorities in a flagship phone. Even if it is going to be pricey, at least it will be much more superior than any other phones out there! People nowadays look for the most top notched specs and I am one of those who are willing to spend money for the most superior device out there. Now got an HTC One shipped from Taiwan and I love it but to me, my friend's Sony Z is better in camera since I can't really blow up my pictures coz it will get a lot of noise. Waiting for what Moto has in store and I hope what we recommend can be applied. :)
