Just went to vzw.com and it's still there for sale. BTW I have the Droid DNA and have had no trouble with use and activations. As a former VZW tech support rep it has been my fave so far. Over the Samsung S3 and the Droid Razr HD.

I just ordered the DNA on 4/3/2013. I had a lot of trouble getting it to activate. During my second call to Verizon Customer support, I was informed that the DNA has been officially retired and its possible that my local store would not have the supplies like screen protectors! When I asked if the retirement was due to a problem, the REP would not tell me. She just said that retirement could be from many sources. Im sending mine back today!

I'm not sure it has been discontinued. It was available in store and online today at Verizon - April 1, 2013. Not saying there's not some probable truth to it but the claim seems a little premature. I don't understand why the HTC 1 wasn't offered by Verizon.

Well, HTC make great phone but in my point of view, they have management issue...some effort they make didn't turn out ok so they try another one that didnt turn out ok either...they need to rethink their strategy a bit and hire a professional...

DNA is back on Verizon's website for sale today (Sunday). What's up with that? I was in the store on Saturday and salesman said it was toast. Is this a HTC production problem or a DNA move to another phone?

That doesn't make ANY sense to me! (no pun intended) If someone buys the DNA, HTC still makes money.

No wonder the sales rep at the Verizon store was so pushy and against me trying to get this phone he kept telling me that it was outdated thought he was confused with the incredible and how the Razr line of phones are better so I settled now I wish I got one.

HTC needs to simplify things a bit. Like instead of trying to convince people a , 5" device for more than a couple of hours before charging and ending looking like liers, why not just put in a 2500mah> battery instead. Also put in decent speakers instead of the crappy ones you always seem to put on your phones. Let's see how the speakers on the HTC One turn out.

HTC seems to lack a unified, well thought out strategy which says a lot about their management.

AnonD-11269, 31 Mar 2013but in that time youll say "ill wait for ONE++" l... moreThere won't be one++ or somethin'.. There's only 1 upgrade for flagships, look at the history - Sensation -> sensation xe, One x -> one x+
Still, I'd be upset if they release an update with bigger clock speed, improved camera and red accents right after my purchase of the one.. So i think I'll stick to my phone until that happens

I don't people realize that this is a Verizon only phone. If I were HTC I would stop selling it too! They are spending time producing this phone only for Verizon when they are trying to get the HTC One to the other 3 carriers. If it is being retired that's fine because that means they can spend more time producing the One. Verizon does this to themselves with their exclusive phones.
