WhatsApp is good, but very hit and miss and some messages can take hours to arrive, but I keep it for sending photos.
Android isn't the answer for me for when I want to move away from Apple. Once WP has built up its app store I might try that.

I can say however.. that once you get used to iMessage, and you have friends who group chat all day.. its hard to go back to a shitty aftermarket app that kills your battery.. For me, even though I WOULD LOVE A BIGGER SCREEN (say 4.3-4.7), I simply cannot make do without all the Apple stuff you just take for granted when you are used to it. This is the realisation I had with Android, when I bought a SGS2, and then again a HTC ONE X.

Awesome phones, nice screen, everything. But the smoothness, the REAL functionality (not eye scroll rubbish - real things you use).. you cant beat it.

It looks like the HTC One is the winner this year. There are some good reviews for the SGS4, but a lot mention lag and bad build quality.

By lag, I mean the gestures interface isn't very smooth.

It's still MP by the way, the ultra pixel is a marketing ploy, the apertature is f2.0 which is a great thing to have.

I have had the phone since launch and it's truly a beast of a phone, better than the S4 in my opinion, i'll probably buy that too as i'm a bit of a phone buff, but when you weigh up the two phones, the One comes out on top.

The camera is an absolute beast for the resolution it has, pictures are crisp and detailed and superb lighting, i've compared it with the S3 and S4 and it measures up pretty well.

I was going to get the S4 until they decided to keep the same design. This phone doesnt have all the features of the S4 but its such a great phone. The phone feels like a million dollars in your hand.

I would reccomend that anyone thinking of getting a S4 (nothing wrong with that) should go and hold the HTC One in your hand and make a decision after that. Lets face it most smartphones now a days are not that far apart.
