Tizen OS looks promising if it's able to run Android apps.. samsung may price this as midrange but with high specs just like the 1st bada phone..

> In reply to kampret @ 2013-05-08 05:55 from uCbi - click to readIf so, you should wait for Jolla's SailFish OS, the true MeeGo successor instead of Tizen OS (Bada successor). The SailFish OS is also compatible with Android which means most Android apps can be installed and used in SailFish OS. I'm not sure whether the Tizen OS compatible with Android or not, but I hope any of these mobile OS will able to end the Android's domination and makes IOS R.I.P. :D

why dnt u all shut the f** up and wait 4 the os to be released 1st.
PS. 1. samsung never said they will stop using android os.
2. S4 has no heatin issues whatsoever
it is just too obvious how ppl tend to bash every successful thing out there.

Here are three good features for Tizen
I hope to see this OS soon, because it seems Google is not going to provide its Key Lime Pie to other brands!

extensive personalization capabilities, even more than Android
Supports ARM and x86 processors
very low limits on the development and privatization

honestly, i'm very pessimist with this phone. Samsung build tizen? Seriously? Meego once a very2 great mobile os, build by once the greatest smartphone manufacturer who use and develop the most mature mobile os. Read the meego review, and see how they can build great phone with 2 yrs old hardware comparing with competition that time. it's very sad they abandon meego , and symbian too.
sure, samsung build the best smartphone today. but, they build it using hardware as a bypass. put many core and memory. not optimise the os. the only great smartphone they build is android. what happen with the other? WP? Bada? Fail
I'm android user, xperia ray, even with GB it still can handle today games very well, using stock ROM and kernel, with 24-30hrs bat life
Also, I'm once nokia hatter, they build many phone, with same internals, but with variety body, just like what samsung did today
And now, realising nokia power to optimise the os, i might go to lumia for my next update
But let's hope, samsung make a great effort for this meego successor, tizen

samsang has gained popularity.when the phones come out, people wil buyl them thinking its android. But even this wont help them grow their os. To be honest i don't think tizen has what it takes to make a huge impact.(i will wait and see what tizen 2.1 has to offer. For now its very primitive) There are only two os's with the potential or ability to over throw ios and android, firefox os (because the web is the platform.using web API to develop apps.no need to learn a new language. Iam a web developer, i have to say html5 + javascript+other web standards is the next big thing! Iam able to develop rich app with such standards.) and Ubuntu(come on, only an i **ot would hate the beauty, fanctionality and simplicity of uhuntu phone os. Its 2 years ahead of every other mobile os.its a fact! period!)
May the best os win.

U live in a dream world influenced by Samsung. U need to come to reality Bro. U want 10 cores in ur phone, 5mm thick, 43mp cam. U will b d 1st customer to complain about heating issues, that's if u can ever afford such if created. Tell me, what apps or aspect of d OS would utilize all those cores. See ur beloved S4 heating like hell thanks to its 8 cores and all that bloatware u call innovation.

> In reply to Lag a Lie in Andriod @ 2013-05-07 14:16 from uBR{ - click to readWhat a joke. Perfect display of Android fanboys' love of paper specs. You basically put a bunch of numbers down that make you feel better and think that makes a good device. It would be great if you could explain why you need/want such a huge leap in specs (and I'm guessing you don't want the necessary huge leap in price, though).
