Ok it looks like an iphone maybe confused iphone 5.

Regardless of that with it being mid ranged it comes down to price and size of the phone. To determine the success of this phone.

I personally think they have managed to snatch ugly from the jaws of beauty that is the htc one.

With those edges it looks much worse than HTC One.

Well, it's not HTC One of any size at all actually, as it has much worse specs.

Even Xiaomi MI-2 and Meizu MX2 with same size had much better specs.

It looks really nice to good to be a mid range. This could easily take on the iPhone 5.

Considering the S4 isnt that old i dont think they would already be revealing details about the successor especially as it would be like they are giving up on the s4 already.

If the phone falls on the plastic parts, it'll protect the phone better than if that part was aluminium since plastic is more flexible, it will take a part of the impact, while aluminium will transfer the whole impact force to the screen which is more likely to shatter.

Also, a bump on the plastic will most likely not leave a mark, but the aluminium will have a nice dent.

So that might be the reason they put plastic around the screen, to protect it better than if they put aluminium.

A very wrong design philosophy , I must say . Aluminium back with plastic ring around edges is impractical . Instead they must have gone with aluminium ring and plastic back like lumia 925. A phone is prone to injuries more on the edges than on the back.
