AnonD-156697, 18 Jun 2013"SK Telcom in S. Korea is about to roll out LTE-Advanc... moreUhhhh, yes, it is true. And if you'd bothered to read the end of the article you'd understand,

"Yota is, indeed, the first company in the world to launch an LTE Advanced network, but this has been essentially a PR operation. Eleven stations is just symbolical; big foreign operators like Japan’s NTT, South Korea’s SK Telecom or AT&T in the US have the capacity to launch networks at a much larger scale."

There's a difference between rolling something out as a test, as Yota did, with 11 base stations in Moscow, and rolling it out nation wide on your entire network, like SK Telecom will in September.

Meanwhile, where are Yota's plans/announcements on rolling LTE-Advanced network wide?

The real news here is SK Telcom in S. Korea is about to roll out LTE-Advance this year (1 year ahead the rest of the world) and the S4 will be the first phone to take advantage of LTE-Advance technology:

This actually translates to something like:
"We are doomed with the current S4 and it will be huge loss of money if we release a S5 right now, so we'll release an allegedly LTE-Advanced device, which by the way is nowhere to be found, but we`ll say its just for the LTE and not the Snapdragon 800 inside."

AnonD-154868, 17 Jun 2013Before the massive outrage kicks in how Samsung could pull ... moreSaying they can not step back in performance is a bit of an exaggeration given that that the Exynos and S600 versions of the phone performed almost identically on benchmark tests

                    http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s4_i9500_vs_i9505-review-930p2.php

Until such time the performance of the Exynos is significantly better than the S600, I'd take the S600 due to better power management and battery life.

Yet the Apple fanboys will gladly pay a premium for iphones that lack features that other manufacturers have.

                        That's innovation!

This is real INNOVATION and soon Apple will implement in iPhone 6s and make too much noise about it in WWDC 2015.

Android, 17 Jun 2013How fast are we talking here. We're hitting up to 100mbs so... morewell it will theoretically offer speeds of upto 3gb down and 1.5gb up, but that is years away, but realistic current network dependent speeds are between 200-300mb per second down and 100mb per second up, you can just google lte advanced and it will offer many sites showing this phone, it is also due to get a snapdragon 800 chip with 2.3ghz quad core but im not sure where i saw that article this morning the model number is apparently SHV-E330S
