Fo... moreYou must forget that we are in 2013 and if only use your phone for talking and texting than i have a great flip phone I might interest you in. But if you want to do anything besides ''talk n text'' than you need minimum 4.5 inches. the screen is at a comfortable distance from your face(no neck cramps after a long browsing session), better viewing experience for movies or shows and your fingers aren't cramped when playing games. What about those avid book readers...or ever try to look at an auto cad file and do a quick edit to it before you present it, probably not.
Here's you when flat screen TVs came out.

apple said the human hand was make perfect only for a 4" screen on a mobile phone , from here to there iphone 5 . and now apple is making 4.3 inches iphone , the worst lie anybody can tell is to yourself

I wonder what will the iFanboys will say about this because they used to insist that 3.5 inch screen is the most perfect size. Now it's more obvious that Apple is playing catch up with Droids. Expect even more fragmentation with IOS as they are now having different screen sizes.

720p with a decent ppi is enough. Leave 1080p for the tablets.

ashpool, 17 Jul 2013If they make it 4.3 inch display all they will do is bump u... moreits not mythical,its a scientific fact that almost every human eye can't see the difference if the ppi is over 350...so actually 1080p on anything less 6" is just gimmick and waste of battery and processing,but it seems that people nowadays just decide the quality of screen based on what they have heard from others.....unless ofcourse you are among the few rare people who have a near perfect....

The problem with modern smartphones is that all of them can play movies in a mid to high definition, can browse the internet, and all are music players. These three things including an abundance of apps means that there's little else out there to challenge.
A bigger, higher resolution screen is just evolution, not revolution.
Watching movies on a smartphone is only for those who are on long journeys. A tablet fulfills the role of video player and is superior in that respect.

Not sure if that isn't too late for them for something new. If you see the smartphone market then you realize that everything has been already discovered, so even Apple is copying iOS7 interface with WP8 or HTC Sense.
On the other hand they should maintain 3.5" model as well as 4.0" and then the 4.3" to have at least 3 parallel models in their portfolio.

I think 4.3 inches is still small. I remember how annoying was it browsing using my old Galaxy S2.
Anything between 4.5 to 5 inches would be perfect especially at the rate how smartphones functions today.
Now we no longer call them phones...they are "smartphones" that functions like a mini computer yet still pocketable and comfortable enough to be used with single hand.
No doubt that iphone 5s will still sell well but may not be as great as in the past. Competition is tougher this time.

If they make it 4.3 inch display all they will do is bump up the resolution a little so it retains the mythical "retina" 326 PPI...come on apple,dont be shy..why not go crazy and make it a 1080p display LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING:-D

Folk want bigger screen for what to play silly touchscreen games and videos..Tv are for watching films not mobile phone and games need precision using proper controller D-Pad and joystick..
If folk want bigger screens so typing in portrait is easier more the argument for proper qwerty real button smartphones that slide out or down.

Apple need to blow us away this time to stay in the game especially with yearly release...This yearly release means the iphone 5s/6 needs to last till October 2014 and by then so much will have happened including new O/S releases.

now a days even 5" seems to be smaller to me... smartphones are being killed... the era is now of phablets... come on apple bring some phablets too... what r u waiting for... even BB z ready with their 5" phone n u still stucked in 4.3!!!
