The rumors of a phablet in the works from Nokia get a bit more credibility with this alleged panel leak.

AnonD-157380, 26 Jul 2013If this thing comes to android 4.3 with snapdragon 800 1080... moreNokia will never make an Android so keep dreaming on. And why wouldn't you want WP8? It's really good you know and it's becoming bigger. Nokia would waste their time adopting Android as they've spend so much time developing for WP.

It's good to see Nokia will release phablets soon. Eagerly waiting for the WP8 GDR3 update.
Hopefully Nokia will regain some market share after releasing couple of phablets.
Microsoft need to move up quickly. Cumon MS, Nokia has nailed it. It's your move now. WP8 still lack basic features.

Nokia had touchscreen phones back... more"Who knows when majority of people switch back to Nokia" You are assuming that Nokia will survive whilst making a loss year or year for this amount of time lol. Nokia fell simply as they didn't bother competing. I was an avid symbian user, but the limitations and instability of the OS and severe lack of changes over the course of it's many years made it very out dated, but at the point there were no real alternatives (excluding WM really), hence it did well at the time.

Nokia had touchscreen phones back in mid 2000's even with a stylus and a 3.5" screen which Samsung copied later to bring it in its phones. Fandroids dont even know that Nokia was on top for about 14 years in the Phone market. Its just 2 yrs now for Samsung to top it. History repeats itself. Who knows when majority of people switch back to Nokia, if samsung continues to make its screen size bigger and bigger for its next iterative phone.Already Apple's market is declining. Samsung will face in near future.

Developers will begin to port their apps/games to Windows Phone if the WP user base gets a substantial increase. So Nokia is doing all it can to lure more consumers into buying their products by releasing more and more devices.

I’ve been a Lumia user since the 800. At first, it was so refreshing to see a new UI aside from iOS, Android, and BB. However, the reality is this is the age wherein people use their mobile phones not just to call or text, but to also use applications that they get from the OS’ application store. Sad to say, Windows Phone still don’t have enough applications to lure majority of the consumers.

This is why Nokia cannot get the Top Spot again. Some might say that Nokia is doing good, and yes it may be true, but it’s still not enough to save them from losing. I appreciate their effort though in veering away from the norm – which is Android OS.

but the rest of your comment is really low, I will have to go down very much to make me understood. When you ask for proof in the smartphone world regarding Nokia, is like asking some motor enthusiast what's the big deal with Mercedes/Bmw's and a few others contribution to the car industry? Well, it was better if you didn't open your mouth:). I'm still amazed by you guys, having absolutely no ideea about the pre cr@pple/samy era but also ignorant and lazy to look up for a little history. Then you wouldn't ask people arround to give you facts, but rather you judge with your own eyes and not with some cheap marketing ones. Nokia had many firsts, look up for them, and was "fighting" in a period when marketing and advertising was second to innovation, even the competition was so different - Moto/Siemens/Bosch/Alcatel/Ericsson later joined by Sony/Philips and so on than all this flood of chinese/koreean/etc cheap phones(I don't have anything against people in these countries I just don't fancy too much about their products). These TV makers and cr@pple saw an opportunity in shrinking their tvs, putting a "free" OS on it and make an easy buck, while Nokia had started this along few others way back. Since we are on GSMA look for a phone which was described as:

                                    "Is this the right track?"
"Right or wrong?/Perhaps we all agree that Nokia .... is a pioneer; that there was no similar device before/I am still telling to myself that maybe I am a fud who just does not see that the future is in the touchscreen display and pen input"
hint - year 2004...so I wish next time you know a little more before hurrying in typeing like a typical fandroid...

NOKIA may not be the best as of date, but yet it has the power to trash Samsung single handedly!!!

Though phablet series evolved from Samsung, NOKIA has to raise the bar to a higher level to compete Samsung in terms of phablets.
