Sony has figured it all out very carefully.. Size of the bezel has been calculated accurately so that the user can hold it in the landscape position.. Sony is not going to make things without thinking and researching first ..
In my opinion, the design of this z1 is quite elegant with its glass material.. Beside, this smartphone has many unique features.. I think this is going to be my next android phone..
So please cherish every technological development of any brand.. Because every brand will definitely try their best to meet customers satisfaction..

Ehyeh, 03 Sep 2013Weak design Camera lens way too close to the corner you ... moreindeed dude, it had speakers both in top and bottom (and I hope that this one can produce louder and nice sound, you know, it had to be the resonating room for the speaker :D, just wondering :p). Not only that, it also have to be the housing for that 20mpix sensors, that maybe it's quite thick to get fit in that slim profile of the phone. so that's why it had to move the buttons to the side of the phone, as maybe it has no enough room to put the touch sensors below the screen. it has advantages though! the phone look cleaner and more appealing than usual Sammy phone that has touch sensors and a home button in between, and I find these on screen buttons lead to be a trend as oppo, optimus g2 and many other manufacturers using the same treatment for their phone.

well, sony has created a really wonderful phone, and believe me it's quality far more better than samsung, but sony's price is always drop fast. Second thing it's still android, on the other hand iphone 5s is not that much different to iphone 5, but you may look at iphone 6 next year. it's better to stick with sony this year. Then look at another options next year.

Somehow i find having a moderately thick bezel good. You won't want your palm to register touch at the edge of your phone while you type. Plus the IP57 waterproofing can't fit a small bezel i guess? Since high water pressure will break the barrier?

I'm stuck between this xperia honami and the iPhone 5s...... I've had android for the past 3 years so I think I might change because I really never customise my phone... I just don't want a phone that drops price so fast and does not lag o have apps at spam your phone..... I hate iTunes though so jailbreak is a must for me

This is smaller than a Note 2, therefore it will fit in your pocket just fine. Why are you whining? The bezels on this are just fine. It would look ridiculous with smaller bezels, the proportions would be all wrong, and you wouldn't have anything to hold onto in landscape mode.
Seriously, as long as it fits in a standard pocket, who cares? Why do you people continue to whine?

Microsoft is buying Nokia, and we will never ever see any Nokia Android with Nokias 41 MP camera, so Sony is our only hope, but Z1 is not good enough to beat Microsofts/"Nokias" 41 MP camera!
