Seems like a descent phone for me. Everything just fine. Hope the price will follow this rule.
And those qwerty keyboards we see less today are good for many things including professional gaming. I miss them on many phones.

aw yiss! but not on my countrY? I've been waiting for a high-end android phone with keyboard on my country now and I hope motorola will grant that... for the meantime i am resorting to blackberry curve for my text and call (yes, apps sucked a$$). will be willing to trade my iphone5 for this

That motorola droid 5 with hardware qwerty keyboard would be my dream phone. I believe that it wont be available in finland. But if they would just include finnish 3g hsdpa 900mhz /2100mhz and gsm 900mhz/1800mhz. Then release it as unlocked. I would enjoy to order myself that phone. I do handle english language quite well so missing finnish language from a smartphone isnt a problem to me.

This might not sell. They focus on only one market (US) which is not interested with this kind of device. Expand your market to other countries.

iPhone users can at least get third party qwerty accessories... there are several of models to choose from. I think there was like one for the Samsung galaxy S3, and there might be one for the S4. But mostly you are out of luck. And Android has poor support for bluetooth keyboards.

Keep in mind that with a hardware qwerty, you will have several of times more screen estate avaible on a 4.3" device than you will on a 5" device with onscreen keyboard, so 4.3" plus hardware keyboard is quite a lot of screen estate.

It would need to be more expensive and much thicker than the flagship therefore you'd likely need to drain the oceans to find customers for it. constantly improved software keyboards are the reason why hardware keyboards are a thing of the past on smartphones. All this swiping, touchless-controll and voice-operation will pretty much render keyboards useless in the future, and I mean ALL keyboards.

Yeah, this won't reach many countries.
It's a shame that they stopped making flagship phones with QWERTY keyboards. Nokia had a couple of decent phones with them.

Most likely it will be limited to certain markets (read north america), sure, the droid version is carrier banded, but any non carrier branded device will probably not make it to Europe anyway.
And the CPU+GPU is a let down.
I don't think A qwerty is enough to revive the market. What is neede to do that is A GREAT qwerty device. And this is not great.. this is another case of us looking for qwerty having to rely on old hardware. 720p screen at that size it good, though.
I wish some company would dare to launch a really nice line of hardware.
Starting with a line of real mini phones.
about 3 inches. Decent cameras. As small bezels as possible, but not the most slimmed down devices due to battery, camera with autofocus + led.
1 model that is all touch, 1 "pro" model with keyboard, 1 clamshell with numpad and directional controller and a small outer oled touch display for toggles, music control, clock and basic notification feedback, 1 candybar device with numpad and directional keys (and probably higher battery capacity due to the size needed to fit the numpad).
next 4-4.3 inch line, with really good up to date hardware and good cameras. 1 touch device. 1 "pro" device with hardware keyboard.
next 4.8-5.3" display, minimal bezels, active stylus digitizer. 1 touch device. 1 "pro" version.
And then a few phablet/tablets versions from 5.7" up to 8.3, with optional keyboards, all with active styluses digitizers.

phones with physical buttons are always welcomed. I'm getting tired with those full touch screen phones.
