Blackberry should cut the prices of Q10 instead of cutting the jobs, or give a quality and features worth the price.

Business wise these guys used to be good, the old OS used to be average, 2 major things made them fall, ( kind of, Apps, and freezing, I am a blackberry user, i used Blackberry more than 7 years, I hate that black clock which appears most of the time, i also hate that fact that i cant download apps, no need for games, it's a business phone, but at least they should give some useful business apps, and for free.....we expected more from the OS10, but lot's were shocked, this is not what we were waiting for....to bad .....I think its a bit late to rise again, Android and IOS are conquering now, followed by Windows, and soon Jolla .....new rider on the road

Maybe RIM should consider CUTTING THE PRICES, a Q10 costs more then iphone 5, at this prices, the consumers will always go for iphone 5& samsung s4 ....

Should have stuck with buttons and simplicity, like the days of old, when bankers used their phones instead of kids in schools on bbm.
A major fall from grace with no help from themselves to hinder the fall.
Things they could have done to not fail as hard as they did.
1. Create mammoth phones, one thing that blackberry do is make crap phones with crap software, if they'd make a solid handset then theres one problem gone.
2. Benchmark the crap out of your crap software. One of the major reasons why bb owners are so unhappy is because their software fails so hard, it simply isn't a very good OS, making it a rock solid OS with very few errors is a must.
3. When you made the playbook, why on earth didn't you add a sim tray? So that people who didn't like the phones could get the tablet and get bbm without having to have two phones? Sales for the playbook were absolutely dire, mainly because it wasn't a very good tablet, but also because a sim tray was missing meaning that you had to have a bb already to enjoy any of the features, such a fail.
4. I can think of many, but in all fairness what I would do now if i had bb as a company, just either go with android as an OS, or freelance the software at a fiver a head for a month. I know literally hundreds of people who would pay for that, not to mention all the bb owners looking for a new device, would be great for android and any other OS who gets the app, if not them all.

jack aussie, 21 Sep 2013What a stupid comment. In fact BB does not need quad cores... moreI'm currently using blackberry playbook (2010):
http://www.gsmarena.com/blackberry_playbook-3830.php
which is allways makes me frustrated! its always lag as hell even it is dual-core. last time when I opened wifi app then I swife screen its doesn't close or even manage it. even I shut it off by drainning the battery then I charge it and then open it again the wifi app is still there! then I go to the shop and they told me that they need to format it. I will not ever buy a blackberry again! I hope they shut down because they don't care about there costomers.

buangka, 21 Sep 2013Blackberry OS is way more beautiful than Android OS...This might be true, but is it worth paying all the extra money for?
I don't think so.
BB survived on companies with their devices.
But those companies are now moving toward android and or iOS, because its cheaper.
Well... If they would start using android and overlay it with RIM, or atleast make a solution for better compatibility, then they still have a chance to survive.
Fingers crosses...
For me personally, it wont matter, because I love android, and this is not near as good as android in my oppinion.
I still wish them goodluck!

Well,
I guess its time to start waving our hands towards BlackBerry.
I still encourage them to start making android devices, but if they keep using RIM it will be over soon.
