nokia wont release a symbian 4th edition because they are releasing 5th and 4 is an unlucky number in some asian countries hence they skipped 4th. Also, agreed on the E51 being a great phone. Posting this comment from it right now.

Anonymous, 30 Nov 2008it seems that people who comment on these pages know little... moreI partly agree, Symbian is not bad - however, other platforms are not bad either. I personally tend more to WM phones because of the 'hidden power' in there. As a computer programmer the possibilities on that devices are endless.

Symbian developers have a hard time getting a NOKIA DEVELOPERS LICENSE. In addition, the development environment needed to develop for S60 are ancient and complicate. With S60 3rd Edition Nokia dropped the possibility for HOBBY PROGRAMMERS to have their own little programming world, so, one of the reasons why less and less non-commercial stuff is available for S60 devices.

I still own a N95 (which is a real garbage phone), a E51 (which has the best build / call / audio quality I've seen the past years from NOKIA) and a couple of non-NOKIA devices. This E75 is defenitely on my TO-BUY-LIST since it does not only offer a nice sleek design but next to a number keypad also a full QWERTY keyboard - a must have in these days. TOUCH SCREEN ONLY phones are cool but they lack the efficiancy when used as a business tool - typing on a touch screen is really complicate if you try to write more than a short HELLO SMS ... !

it seems that people who comment on these pages know little about phones. Nokia wont make phones with windows operating systems because they are focussed on developing their own brain-child symbian os. Symbian is hardly faultless, but it is certainly a breath me fresh air compared to windows. I sell phones and know almost anything about them, and have tried every operating system from android to linux and i would choose symbian without doubt because its not prone to crashing like others but still offers nice looks and a fast and easy to use os.

this is exactly the model I've been waiting for!
qwerty keyboard AND normal numeric buttons as I still need to type sms with 1 hand sometimes when I'm busy...
Can't wait for it to be in the market! hope it will be out by end of this year... *fingers crossed*
