            Flexible display or flexible phone?
Don't believe they will put out a flex phone as there is no point in that and would be hard to handle so why are you posting photos of a bendable phone when the article is about flexible displays?
Probably they will just use it to wrap around some part of the phone

The most useless invention of the decade. Flexible displays? They will be flexed in your pocket and eventually break or get dents. This will be a flop as most customers won't accept it as a future technology. A good sapphire crystal glass is enough to protect your display. That's it.

"The downside is that you have to use both hands and it's not terribly convenient, with far too much effort being required to flex the device compared to simply tapping on the screen."

So it is not worth the effort of pushing it for production. As I said before, u should read the article before posting them.

To start with, Nokia don't make displays and they use Samsung's display for their AMOLED displays.

Only LG and Samsung is pushing the flexible displays into production unlike others. So, your whole purpose of posting those comments are rather irrelevant at this stage.

dladz, 05 Oct 2013Really? Man u are behind the times aren't you.they have created flexible motherboards yes, but SoCs cannot be flexible, Cpus are far too complex to be made flexible at this point, there are billions of transistors in a single Cpu, making it flexible would allow so many things to go wrong easily. Also it would need to be made out of a flexible material that can transfer heat through to the heatsink/copper strip.

There's been concept designs by OEMS before but never a production sample. Samsungs been experimenting with curved and flexible displays for years now.
