They are not as cheaply made as Koreans, that cut corners , Japanese make better quality stuff.

Got the update on my Z1 last night (in UK). Downloaded wirelessly and all done in around 5 mins (even though install message said it would take around 11 minutes).

Not taken any pics or anything yet, but all seems good with the phone. Interesting to see what 'changes' have been made to Wi-Fi connecting (as mine has been OK) and also battery life.

I guess you guys may need use custom android rather than factory firmware.

Because the factory firmware always think of the profit and relationship with their vendor. So the profile will be limited. What I can said the custom rom will be the best ever than factory because I use both. E.g. Samsung will never use walkman apps..also the sony won't ever use iphone features.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-10-16 22:54 from ibfR - click to readTotally agree! Sony should not release unpolished products to the market. I had the same issue with my Xperia Ultra. The Z Ultra is a great device highly spec but that has been badly let down by poor software design and implementation.

For early adopters of the Z Ultra, we felt cheated that Sony have recently released the LTE version in Malaysia at a lower price point than the version without LTE.

People seem to forget the problems with the HTC One upon release, I traded mine for the HTC One Google Play Edition but still prefer my Z1.

> In reply to Pro.DigiVid @ 2013-10-16 16:41 from YgDW - click to readdude read carefully what i wrote. i never said that the HTC One is better than the Z1 in terms raw hardware specs(except for the display/viewing angle and the boomsound speakers but that's just my personal opinion) nor did I said that HTC One delivers better software and user experience compared to the Z1. all I'm saying is that with superior specs, the Z1 should have easily obliterated the HTC One in every department which I find, is not the case. on paper the superior specs of the Z1 should've easily blown away all competitions if only the implementation of the softwares for the bleeding edge hardwares in the Z1 are more polished and well thought after before releasing it to the market. don't get me wrong, I do love my Z1 with its superior specs and that's why i traded my HTC One for it but with all the bugs and poor implementations on the Z1 left me missing my HTC One which should not have happened in the first place due to the Z1's superior specs. I'm sure in due time and with more firmware and software updates the Z1 will definitely be a better if not the best android device for at least another 1-1.5yrs from now but Sony really needs to learn not to release an unpolished product full of bugs into the market and improve their service centres especially the ones in malaysia. glad to hear that ur Z1 can last 30-38 hours cos mine can barely reach the 6th hour mark with light/casual usage which is really poor for a 3000mAh powered device. somehow something is sucking up the juice of my Z1 battery(battery usage always report 60-70% was sucked up by the display? WTF? seriously?) leaving my Z1 always warm to the touch and me losing gaming/surfing/screen time on the device.
