Good to see Samsung releasing Windows Phones. I had a Focus Flash and it was a delight, especially it's Super Amoled screen.

I don't get it... I read these comments and it's like Android/iPhone vs WP all over. Now, it's Nokia WP's vs all others WP manufacturers. Forever, WP fans have been screaming for more WP units from the different manufacturers. But when it actually happens, it's a big dog pile on the phone because it's not a Nokia.

I've had a Focus S for 2 years now and with the exception of the front camera konking out after taking the phone for a swim, the phone has lived up to all expectations. Sure, it's not as fancy as some of the phones today, but 2 years is a long time in the cell phone world. It still performs extremely well and I have had no other problems with it. The screen's beatiful, the OS fluid, and I actually wasn't itching for an upgrade after 9 months.

This Ativ S Neo may be overpriced compared to comparable Nokias and I see it dropping in price prettty quickly. Sprint has it for $49, albeit with the not-so-stellar network. I've checked out the Nokia's (920, 925, 1020) and they are nice phones. I was leaning toward the 925. What intrigues me about this is the SD slot and the removable battery. Question for the Nokia owners: I had to replace my battery a couple of months ago (it was getting hot and only holding a full charge for a couple of hours). If the Nokia's battery does the same thing, what are my options? I ask this not in a confrontational way, but from an informational aspect. We're looking to upgrade within the next couple of months and I want to make sure I have everything covered.

So, it seems now that WP OS is picking up traction that we should all be supportive and happy that there is a diverse choice among the phones that we can choose from - not put down, degrade, or abuse other users or manufacturers for the choice that they make. That is what we want, right? A wide range of WP phones to chose from?

Come on, WP users... Unite! (OK, maybe that's taking it a little far... :) )

dave, 25 Oct 2013I think you are born yesterday. Samsung been there for many... moreI am well aware that Samsung made a Windows Mobile phone line, and at 6.1-6.3, it was hated more that Symbian^3. SonyEricsson to a swing at it with the Xperia X1 and X2 and struck out. Window Mobile had ran onto such a pitfall, that even their best OEM HTC decided that Android was the way to start heading. They didn't return until WP7 with the Titan and Titan II.

SAMSUNG, did have the Focus, Focus Flash and Focus S, but those were unimaginative entrys that were afterthoughts, mostly in just injecting WP7 on their cheaper, last Gen hardware. They did it again with the ATIV S, a detuned Galaxy S III that was only released on Verizon (in the USA) and brought nothing more than a larger, bad looking display. No real customization.

Here they are doing it again, with a piss-poor midrange entry. That's why I said they should stop faking the funk and just "Focus" or Android.

If they don't drop the arrogance, Sony is gonna pull the carpet from under them. And you know what? I would love to see them do so.

AnonD-121494, 25 Oct 2013You nokia fanboys are such geniuses. Comparing entry level ... moreThis isnt comparing Entry level to high end, almost all features are similar to high end device, Lumia 825, so shut up.
moreover, when now, The Nokia is just making Windows phones, and when they are doing it very well, you Samsung fanboys dont expect us not to call Ativ S Neo shit.
Lumia 925 and that phone fit in the same class and Lumia owns it in every aspect. And no,this isnt fanboyism, these are facts. - Lumia user.

Most commenters here never heard of Samsung Ominia Windows phone series from 2008. Funny. At that time only LG, Samsung and HTC doing WP phones. Very funny Nokia fans.
