One must also consider the fact that Samsung also sells loads of stuffs as well. Say for example devices of low budget,mid budget and high budget comprising of smartphones like Galxy grand,S duos,Galaxy y,Galaxy Chat,Galaxy Mega 5.8,Galaxy Mega 6.3,Windows Os phones,S2,S3,S4(Normal,LTE,Zoom,Active,duos,mini),Note,Note 2,Note 3 and gosh the list goes on an on. However in comparison,Apple is just selling at the most 4s,5,5C,5S. So a 14% share in comparison to a 33% is a good score not forgetting the quantity of dealings. Personally love the 2 brands both and Addicted to both.
Words of a die hard Note lover,shifting 2 the iphone 5s this year :)

Yet that same company has many of their loyal customers claiming their phone is a quality build.

Apple phones are about 3x more expensive than phones with the same features. Look at the numbers. Samsung is selling almost 3x the number of phones with slightly more profit than Apple this quarter.

Samsung should be sued for false advertising, it's nowhere near a 16GB phone.
