ollyb1, 30 Oct 2013this happens to any products that's mass produce there's al... moreWell, that's where you're wrong.

Only Apple seems to be having habitual issues with their phones. Either the OS or the hardware. Consider that in the past Apple only comes out with one phone a year (this year 2) while other manufactures come out with 5-15 phones a year makes it an even bigger black eye.

The bigger issue here is Apple has gone so cheap on manufacturing, so cheap on Q.C. processes and so poorly estimated manhours required for their OS development that they are now regularly producing an INFERIOR product.

Don't believe me? Google the number of reported crashes the 5s has compared to the 5 on ios 7 - it's 2x higher on the 5s including the "blue screen of death" (I guess even here Apple had to copy Microsoft - LOL).

The last really good iphone Apple made was the 4s (I still have mine but seldom use it anymore), but now I hear Apple pretty much sucked the life of that phone with ios 7 because for many people it kills the battery performance.

You fanboys can make all the excuses you want, but your time would be better spent writing to Apple asking them what gives and telling them they need to step up their game so they deliver a better product.

                    Why the change?

Most likely the NYT was going to write the story about the problem and asked Apple for comment and that's the only reason they admitted it.

If you listen to music, browse the web or Facebook, play words with friends and so on whilst commuting to work and occasionally listening to music at work, your phone will have 60-70% of charge left by the end of the day.

If you're streaming video or music, you're phone will run out sooner.

i think apple needs to be careful their latest phone , because there are a lot of phones competing with it, like the note 3 offering thousand six hundred mmh battery life. to me , i suppose apple is going to face a bigger chalange in the next sesion of phone making. and even aside that the screen size is too small for my liking
