Apple already paying, Google and Android will soon fall like dominoes after Nokia sets the precedent wins against HTC. We're looking at the next Qualcomm here. Very surprising turn of business post msft deal.

Still a Nokia Fan, 05 Nov 2013That some other company you are referring to also pays $11 ... moreyeah, your right, I've heard of it, but if I'm not mistaken it went to a patent war first before it happened and well the latter won I'm just saying that for business to flourish even in techs we need to work harder to create things that would be useful, if you copy one technology of course you have to pay for its patents it was a product of hard work.But it would be a bit awkward to sue everyone just because the shape is theirs so they say. But I admit even though their kinda awkward doing that they still produce one of the best soft ware on smart phones. Just wish they'll stick their noses on innovating rather than sue everybody and claim everything is theirs, well thanks for reminding me about that chap see you soon =)

it's not because Samsung respects Nokia. They license patents because the last time Nokia and apple went to court apple was almost eaten up (totally). apple had to settle because they knew they couldn't patent troll Nokia. Nokia is just too powerful. Nokia earn $500 million just from patents. recently apple sued Samsung for a billion $$$.... nokia would sue for 10-20 billion lol :D

I wonder why samsung who has the best technology and hardware than anyone, have to do this! Nokia has made the most ugly looking phones since symbian. Most of the E series qwerty phones looked like calculators. N8 and X7 resembled electric shavers.5800 Xpress music 5230, 5233 and some others were like pencil boxes used by school kids. Then there were UFO’s and stealth bombers. E6 and all qwerty’s and some touch phones in the Asha series had poor dull designs. The only good looking qwerty was E5. Now WP8 are all bricks with lot of constraints and the boring UI like old OS’s. Bluetooth, camera flash, network, ear piece issues are most common in Nokia’s poor hardware.

This is a good example of how big companies should behave in the nowadays enviroment. I mean they choose to cooperate instead of acusing eachother, to respect instead of finger pointig. And from all of this we, the consumers, will benefit in the end. What's the point to rename a thing that have been already invented by someone else? This not progress.
