so Oppo decided to drop the smartphone market and just commit to Phablets? WTF???????? 5.2 was ok,because now days bezels are really slim, but there is no way u can make a 5.7 phone that is easy to use with just 1 hand. bad move if the rumor is true.

Anonymous, 08 Dec 2013it is a terrible idea to have a phone bigger than 5". ... moreI too have relatively big hands with big fingers. Currently owning a Nexus 4 look-alike but with 5 inches display. I find it quite easy to use it single handedly for almost everything except for a few things like typing, playing games or simply when watching movies. It's hard to maintain all the time because it weighs close to 180 grams. Just looking for a good 4.3" display phone with some top notch specifications for better portability and usability with single handedly..

please... stop... with the resolution overkill. FHD is more than enough between 4.5-7"

If its 5.7 inch and is same as Note 3 then if perfect for me.
I tryed Note 3 and screen size is perfectly fits me needs.
If this is true for Find 7 its no brainer for me.
Im Find 5 user ATM and i love it.

5.7" is good enough but i use 6" Zopo and will not move to lower sizes. At the end do you mostly need a phone or computer in your pocket? If you don't care about computer take iPhone or all those Android minis. Oppo will be also way too expensive though it deserves the extra

please dont dectate your opinions here as a must-be-true rules and guidlines.
poeple dont necessarily need to use the phone single handedly unless when making calls (i'v never seen a person using 2 hands for phone calls unless when dialing). However, when browsing, playing, anything else you still need two hands. Even with single handed games you still need the other hand to hold the device. Say Fruit ninja!

let people decide what fits them and dont dictate your thoughts and beliefs. even the most solid theories have some poeple that oppose them.

                        now to the phone:
all given specs seem overly Good
however the Battery will be the deciding factor in terms of specs

also im not fully aware of what Skin OPPO is using and how hefty is it on the overall performanc.

If this phone uses the Sharp IGZO screen, it would be perfect.

I'm more interested to see the battery performance of this phablet which I think will be no more than 4 hours. Guaranteed..

Protocol, 07 Dec 2013I bet it will be a fail because I saw in my dreams that Opp... moreit is a terrible idea to have a phone bigger than 5". 5" is the maximum allowable ergonomic size for an average human hand period.Only a LG G3 design and proportions at 5 inches ,not 5.2 would barely be small enough to allow for ones thumb to be able to comfortably use the phone to type press or scroll down from the top.I am 6.1 with fairly big hands and long fingers and i can barely, sometimes, with difficulty press or scroll down from the top on a 5" Nexus 5.There you have it. Apple isn`t lingering around 4 inches for the past 3 years for nothing but with mega slim bezel all around the edges like LG G2 they can go 4.9 inches for an ultra sleek usable phone for ladies too.

Does anyone know when this handset will be released ??? I'm happy that I resisted the urge to get one of the latest puppies out there, I wanted to get the Xperia Z1 but the bezels & low level speaker performance held me back, then I thought about getting the Samsung Note 3 but this time the exaggerated price put me off ( outright price $ 888 in Australia), LG G2 is nice but didn't have SD card slot & built in battery not my thing, so I decided to wait, this Oppo Find 7 sounds very good, does anyone have any info about release date ? Or maybe estimated time? Can't wait for the January CES

I'm sick and tired of these whingers, this announced handset has the best hardware specs but people still fing things to whinge, if you don't like 5.7inch screen size then don't buy it nobody forcing anyone to buy it, go get yourself a 5 inch or whatever you like !!

Oppo should have made this superphone available before GN3, Xperia Z ultra or HTC One X............
Now, very less space left for it, just wasting energy/money on something already done by other OEMs several Months ago.
