I can't believe no one else has noticed this, not even the creator of the article.

"Be the first to witness how Asus products WEAVE TECHNOLOGY into the FABRIC of our daily lives."

It's obviously going to be some sort of wearable tech.

Ya,like "ubuntu edge" the crowd funded idiocy that got kicked out of the market.Lessons in human history need to be learned if you need to survive, better make good android phones now, until they merge windows phone with full windows OS in the upcoming windows8.2/9 update.

If its Ubuntu, then get ready to witness the change of Human History.

bweber85, 12 Dec 2013It would be pretty cool if they were the company that partnered ... moremaybe they are the Ubuntu 0s partner that is to be announced...

  • Anonymous

i think that they will announce theier partnership with the new ubuntu phone

Yes Their product is the phonepadpad.. A phone that goes into a tab that goes into a larger tab.

Asus has real quality and is capable of much better than this.

The company has been producing superb hardware recently including the outstanding and affordable Fonepad which has boosted the phablet market. People should become more aware of this 3G/wifi tablet/phone hybrid with telephony features. At less than £200 nothing else comes close.

Yeah, this time they have 16 cores, an an incredible amount of lag.

It would be pretty cool if they were the company that partnered with Ubuntu. They could release a New Padfone that dual boots and has a keyboard accessory to give you full desktop mode as well.

Asus is the most underrated brand. I think asus is the best of the best brands for notebooks. My friend has an asus notebook (5-6 years old) never had hardware problems, now with windows 8 on, it opens 10 programs at the same time without freezing. I see many people on the forums saying never had hardware problems with asus. Hope on January ASUS will shock the world with a new unthinkable device

What kind of surprise? Is it more of those octa-cores which doesn't have any difference from the cheap ones except being the most expensive unit in the market?

T100 with LTE modem maybe...

ASUS will be undershadowed by the other big companies.
Anyways they dont have anything apart from transformer and padfone which are big flop.
