I work for a major UK network and I deal with certain handsets for profiling. We had the new device make up for the closure of Q1. 3 handsets to note this being one of them. Now the info we get is basic. Its only for network provisioning. We have it listed as the HTC ONE 2014. we never get code names as the S5 is on the list as the S5 . Anyway its 100% 5" 492ppi 2900mAh battery. Not sure on camera spec but will ship with 4.4.2 KitKat and sense 5.5. They have taken the beats branding off but still have the same feature just named under the new music app they have integrated. Like a Zoe app for music. That's all. If I get anymore worth posting I will. Sorry that its something we never already knew

In my opinion to a normal adult user no one care if there is inside the hood snapdragon 800 or 805
    2 or 3 gb ram
    2k or 4k resolution
For sure advertising and marketing is essential to beat any other smartphone sales and i think this year will push up this sale

Yeah, making the bezels even bigger and putting in a TN panel. Delivering a 3000mah battery who performs worse than a S4 or HTC one with a less battery capacity.
Sony still has a lot of work, but atleast they are trying since last year

Good 1080p will use less battery power than 4k screen & you dont need a 4k screen on a phone, spend the money on improving other hardware.

Every two years I buy the HTC's flagship. So I own a HOX, right now. Last year I was SO tempted to buy HTC ONE due to its specs and looks. I didn't do it because camera is rubbish.
Every year I'm excited for what HTC brings. Till the end of the year they are outpaced by others, but at least they were the one who opened the way. But if those rumors are true, this year, for the first time, HTC will bring..nothing new. And this will be the real big dissapointment from HTC. The fact that they, for the first time, are unable to bring something new.

looks like htc and sony gonna bring their flagships to MWC, my bet is on Sony, i'm really impressed with Sony, it appears they are actually listening to the customers, they have been fixing every flaw with their new releases since Xperia Z, now compare that to htc, if they continue like this they will go under, I dont understand HTC whats so hard about listening to the customers, its like they want to go down.

It is better for them to move to the windows or blackberry os, they no longer player in the android market. HTC has nothing to offer anymore to the power users.

HTC, listen if you can hear me!

If you want a smashing success phone, do what I say.
                                        - 2-3GB DDR3
                                        - Snapdragon 805
                                        - 4.7" 1080p Display, (1080p w/s805 would be kill QHD framerates)
                                        - keep the home/menu/back (and yes, have all 3) capacitive keys off the screen

-Redo the design, just enough that the phone still looks related to the One, but with a fresh new take on it that doesn't look like a pure rehash.
-Reduce the bezels as much as possible while maintaining the front stereo speakers.
-Keep Ultrapixel and OIS ONLY if you can slim the phone and make it lighter.
-don't worry about the fingerprint sensor unless you can think of a new, innovative way to use it, AND if it doesn't increase the bulk or price of the device.

Use the lack of QHD screen as an excuse to keep the price noticeably lower than that of the competition. Don't try to directly compete in specs, make something that's a better deal for real people.
