I have devices with both of the OS. I have used iPhone, android tablet, android phone, and iPad obviously.
after having all of them I can clearly say that android is best on mobile and iOS is on tablets.
for those android haters I wanna say that android is released and is used in phones with different capabilities. they are seen in phones with 2.3 GHz quad cores and at the same time with 800Mhz processors. so optimization is pretty hard. on the other hand apple has always made good hardware and stable software though I dont feel comfortable with it as its like closed world.
anyway dont hit others please. if you so love your OS or phone just be happy with that.

as expected. why? because so many affordable android products. like local brands here in the philippines. ios is not as that as affordable. try to compare sales in each categories of pricing and standards not on overall users. #smh

One thing y'all should note, the number of IOS-running devices is still less than that Samsung releases in a single year. Yet, Apple has 15 percent market share against thousands and thousands of devices running android. From that comparison and the record sales generated by iPhones year-on-year, I'd say apple is still pretty damn good

Android is killing IOS Its over for apple." true, but if you look at it the other way, which manufacturer by manufacture apply is pretty destroying everyone else by generating more revenue then samsung sony, nokia, lg, "combined."

People mostly don't hate Microsoft's WP, they hate Microsoft for putting into charge Stephen Elop, who weakened Nokia's position by going WP only, loosing ground, selling Nokia in the end to Microsoft. It's the natural course of big enterprises to go from 100 to 0 in a matter of years, but everybody feels sorry for the past when Nokia had very good devices. For myself I don't feel comfortable even with my S4. I miss my nice Nokia 6230!

I think now Android should start producing OS for all the Gadgets such as PC's, Cams, Washing Machines, And Home usage gadgets and our every day to day usable things, Android should be present everywhere, It is so convenient and user friendly. Android triumphs forever.

From the very beginning market share has been a flawed approach to measuring the success metric of Apple vs the rest. They never played for marketshare, never claimed to chase marketshare. It's weird how the media keeps trumpeting this fact.

On equal footing, market share is a good indicator, because the one who sells more probably makes more money. For example, the video game console market, where pricing is very similar. Sales figures and market share can tell you at a glance whether Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are doing well or not.

Due to the different pricing strategy of Apple, this rule does not apply, they make more, despite not selling more, so market share, while interesting to look at, is less important as an indicator. It would be better to look at sales growth, profitability, etc.

See, Android n... moreRunning apps in sandbox is not the reason that android needs more resources. Windows phone has many phones with different processors and it still runs flaw less even on a $80 phone (Lumia520/521). The reason android uses more power is due to the fact that it is not optimized and manages to sometimes leave power hungry operations open in the background.
