To anyone who's bashing on-screen buttons: they are seriously not that bad, dare I say they are actually good. I used to didn't like on-screen buttons (when I had never even used one) but then I bought a tablet (and later a phone) with on-screen buttons and even if you won't love them, you won't hate them either, after all, they're just buttons, you won't pay too much attention to them.

I hate on screen buttons, they take away precious screen space. I love the buttons on my HTC One and the One X before it.

What's the point of onscr... moreOn screen only buttons are so useful when a full screen application crashes and you can no longer get to the button to close it from task manager! My hardware button has got me out of this potential problem several times, when I would otherwise had to have pulled the battery out. Now imagine you have a non-removable battery as well.

DD, 03 Feb 2014I hate on screen buttons. It makes the whole ui uglyy.. I agree with you.

They have to have some bezel at bottom of screen so you can hold the thing,,plus they still need somewhere to put the electronics and aerials..The only other option is to make it thicker making space for better cam, battery and speaker enclosure but folk don't want that do they?

I prefer real buttons than on-screen ones.

They are trying to over-simplify things by not having permanent buttons and in the process complicate user experience

Will this "onscreen" navigation buttons be a permenant mark on the screen,or will they disappear on full screen mode and come back when we touch the bottom part of touch screen?...Many question arise...first is is this concept for real?

I've got a htc one x+ with capacitive buttons and they're not very good. I've also got a nexus 7 with on screen buttons and they're miles better so kits good news for me.
