I doubt you have seen HTC One Max's back plate. Defending the new HTC One's huge bezel isn't good as clearly, this is a disappointment to their fans.
Having 2 speakers is not an excuse. There are better ways and i guess HTC haven't figured that one yet.

i do agree about the fact that keeping the logo bar they shud not keep on screen buttons...but do remember htc has to keep another camera unit(two cameras)..plus boom speakers and metal is definitely thicker..so to keep the same volume inside they have to spread the device more for the internals and to not make it too thick also...u only know how to talk nonsensical sh*t..and lg g2 and s4 have cheap plastic...plastic is way thinner to make a device out of..and lg g2 and s4 are broader than htc one....remember that..thats how they can fit everything...u were talking about how sensible i am..here learn some sense then comment..ignorant troll fools..

Heck, LG G2 has done it with a 5.2inch screen with slimmer bezels.
Now, here's the thing- what is the purpose of removing the capacitive buttons and making it on-screen? ;) Let's see how "sensible" you are.
Don't make the same excuse like "oh they want to comply with Google" "oh they want to have something new to offer" yada yada..

Actually u people got it the another way around...htc probably could not fit all the internals like processor camera module battery in a phone of the size with no bezels...the internals aquired space so in the front they had to put a logo bar by htc seeing the wasted space in below the display. .They put a logo bar...think and write sense...

I love my HTC One and I am looking at this or S5 next. I like the idea of a small bezel, and I dont understand the point of moving the capacitive buttons to make them on screen if they are keeping the HTC logo in the same place thus leaving the bezel the same size, seriously whats the point? I hope this is a fake picture to be honest.

All phones have bezels but not all phones can make the bezels slim.
People are criticizing Sony Xperia for having wide bezels but HTC is doing the same thing.
