I feel the same way about device specs. I think they're given way too much importance, when there's a lot more that makes up a good device.

      1. What size u want, this will narrow down your selection. 2. What is your budget, now left with fewer units. 3. Compare the specs, u should know which one to get now beside shapes and design etc...etc...good luck.

        ***

Good illustration of why manufacturers do this...

It is a physical impossibility to have "to choose between HD and QHD display with same price, same battery life, same chip."

The extra pixels, the ones that you DON'T and CANNOT see, will place extra demands on the "same" chip and battery. There is no way around it and it's a bad trade off at this time.

Except that such pointless "features" drive the less knowledgeable to chose a set like this over a set with a more sensible feature set.

Jumping from the Galaxy S2 to the Galaxy S4 was a huge step up, the clarity from the 1080P screen is stunning and it'll only get better with 2k screens, imagine taking a picture and being able to see far more detail on your phones screen.

QHD display, but no QHD games or videos to take advantage of it.

Buy a QHD display phone to watch pixelated streamed 720p videos? Good job.

Spend the resource on more battery backup please!

It would be disappointing if it didn't have SN805, as this amount of pixels could use the extra power of Adreno 420.

Also, 4 days ago at MWC, Snapdragon, in cooperation with Samsung, used a Galaxy Note 3 phablet outfitted with the Snapdragon 805 SoC to showcase the speed of its new advanced category 6 LTE, which reached download speeds up to 300mbps.

But, I digress. This QHD Find 7 would be amazing with the 805 Snapdragon. Battery life would be really good, too, since the 805 uses a 20nm node. :)
