It's a shame because BOS 10 is a great OS. Never had a problem with it since 10.1 and with the new version I have yet to come across an Android app that I can't sideload or that I've had a problem with running.

Getting their costs down for new devices is a key to making a comeback. The hardware and OS is fine.

AnonD-221576, 28 Mar 2014Support Android and you will survive Bandroids.
only reason to get high end android now is to run a fast sailfish. Android will die soon. Couple years it will change. People change.

What does BB expect when not even releasing any phones? Catch up BB everyone is doing a yearly phone. You have to shove out at least one phone a year.

they deserve every single bit of it for being arrogant retards.
I'm more than willing to buy a BlackBerry 10 device, the only problem is that it is not available, and no I'm not talking about some small village, I'm talking about the capital of a country, no where is a genuine piece available on the website too. And the official BlackBerry dealers who have some stock are selling it at a premium, all this happens and guess what, BlackBerry have no place to even put a complaint so that the higher authorities can be aware of the same.

Either way, most of the world had given up on them when they had made BBM available for IOS and Android.

With the chance, that U.S. DoD and other departments are considering Android, BB is pretty much dead!
BB lacks both hardware and software "oomph" to withstand Android and iOS. Sooner or later it'll be sold to the chinese (Huawei maybe?).

Against my better judgement, I'm rooting for Apple to resist Google. I'm a fan of Android, but too much success is never good for the consumer :)

I wish Tizen would get out of the gates already! Windows Phone is really sad, playing alone in the minor leagues :D

Hey Blackberry, this is what you can do. Just throw a budget phone with Dual Core processor and decent graphics with 1GB RAM at markets like India and China for a incredible low price like $100 and you will see Blackberry stocks rise up again.

Nokia followed similar trick with Lumia 520 and it succeeded. Time for you to follow it now or fail forever.

And yes, no customized/skinned Android. Pure Android with no customizations. Everything except HTC's Sense is bloatware. Motorola seems to do it right with the Moto G with near stock Android and great performance for an incredible budget.

As for Nokia, they are going back up again and are growing again with their Lumia sales significantly up. I don't really have a lot of budget for a high end phone, so currently I might even consider buying a Lumia 520 as it is like $120 in India.

new phones announced and are intended to redress the financial situation are eccentric models (paradoxically for a model with qwerty keyboard and touchpad, but obviously for the combination with bb 10)
