Apple is targeting Samsung because Samsung is the one OEM threatening them the greatest.
On top of that most of their claims are of bogus patents...Or just completely illogical. The Galaxy was not an Iphone rip off at all.

so Apple is after Samsung in this case for things found in Android the violates patents... funny thing is that HTC, Sony, LG, etc should be in this trial too.. I mean dont they have phones that use android too? Apple clearly has a vendetta agaisnt Samsung.

-Apple unable to achieve the Samsung Specification,
-All Apple hardware product is build and design by Samsung,
-Apple want to monopoly the whole market by Bran washing customer by Brand and Packaging,
-Apple are Jealous and Afraid of Lose on their sales between others,
-Apple do not have self manufacture Hardware, infect Apple just produce OS and Marketing,

Although at the same time that UK eventually panned in their favor.
With Apple loosing twice and twice having to post on their site that Samsung did not copy them.
Although for attempting a second time the Judge made Apple compensate Samsung. Apple also tried to claim two weeks was not enough time to post such a simple link to their site...SERIOUSLY? Judge new better.
Then Apple tried to do it in a smart arse way and were to face consequences had they not fixed it.
However in other aspects...How did it get to that point prior. Slender with rounded edges????
And how about the photo shopped evidence in that UK case and this US one which both times Apple faced no penalty for?
How about how Apple had three different stories for how they came about the design?
How about how technically the LG Prada had the look before Iphone?
And how on Earth was it fair that Samsung was not allowed to use blueprints and previous design models/phones of their own as evidence??????????????????????????
When did rectangles become a patentable thing?????????????????
Then the president making a veto against Samsung's win and then not caring about Apple's win.
Or apple being the biggest tech thief and copy cat calling wolf and then telling others not to do it.

At the point of these cases the apx price of all the parts from Samsung per Iphone was around $12.
By asking for $40 per "infringing" device Apple not only gets parts for free, but makes profit literally just from getting free parts. That's before selling to make profit.
Samsung in term is paying Apple to take free parts from them.
Then they turn around and put it all in a restricted device lacking in every aspect of technology and monies worth.
Only so they can sell it at the horrifically scammish price that they do and make HUGE bank.
It's all to feed into their scam and make boatloads more profit while continuing their rein.
Even the article from a couple days ago GSM posted shows Apple's math used against them where their patents are only worth pennies a piece and total around $1.75.
And addresses that most are bogus claims.

Ha ha ha Apple uses Samsung's parts the most important part is processor chip which is brain of iphone and other nand flash , memory etc.and Apple is again using Samsung screen display in next ipad and pretend to be the innovator of phone. Apple fans who complain Samsung should be ashamed and feel sorry that iphone is made of Samsung . Hey Apple fans respect your father . What a joke apple still can't make its own parts and cry for help saying someone copying their products whereas whole phone is made by other companies .

Hey don't you know that Apple invented the telephone not Alexander Bell?! Now Apple will sue Bell's grand grand grand sons. ;) Seriously I don't like Apple because of their restricted OS and overpriced devices. Hey I have a Bluetooth, but I cannot use it, because it is restricted only for Apple devices. Hey I want to connect my iPad/Pod/Phone to my PC, but I can't, because I don't have iTunes. Hey I want to customize the looks of my launcher, but I can't because it is iOS. Hey my charger and usb ("lightning" excuse me) cable costs nearly 50 euro (in BG) but they don't have warranty. Hey I want to use my iPhone 4/4s charger instead, but I can't because it not compatible and etc... The choice is clear - I choose the freedom, universality and decent prices of Android devices. :)

Good news. I'm tired of Samsung's legal team being so bad on their own.
I still can't imagine how they lost that "rounded edges" case a few years ago. Apple's lawyers changed the dimensions of the Galaxy device to look more like their products and still managed to NOT get kicked out of court. Well, that's the patent system for ya

Do you really think the United States are pulling the strings to solidify an Apple win? Lay off the conspiracy theories. Samsung's infringement on Apple's patents are well known. Apple have already won two patent cases,awarded byJapanese courts no less.
I suppose the US threatened to nuke Japan again should they side with Applet though.
