to Bakekang

seems like u have no clue with what u talking about. u havent really compare urself with these two phones, N85 or 5800.
Stop talking bout OLED, Pixel as u seem not an expert in this. Just look at the comparison between these two in mobile-review analysis.

See and compare the better screenshots between 5800 and N85.

http://www.mobile-review.com/review/nokia-5800-2-en.shtml

if u think the N85 have better screenshots i suggest u better change ur glasses soon.

lets just be objective.

Dan, 10 Oct 2008Even if you were to compare the n85 to the 5800xm, picking ... moreFor me, OLED is better and more revolutionary than touchscreen. Have ya seen any other smartphone that has OLED screen? Do u have any idea what AMOLED screen is like in real life? U'll be amazed! Candybar design bores me a lot! I'm starting to hate it. I guess it's a matter of personal taste. But I'm obssessed with dual slide design. U can operate the phone in various modes. I just like pressing physical hardware keys with tactile feedback, not just a virtual keypad on a cold glass surface. And by the way, N85 is the ultimate slider phone from Nokia. All mistakes they had made in the past slider phones, they have addressed them all in N85. So N85 is now "engineered to perfection". It's a phone that'll make u proud that u own one. A phone that will boost your self-confidence. I just love it. Who among you agree with me? LOL!

is this already available in the middle east specially in kuwait and for how much?? check out mobile-review.com for in depth review. its a good phone and i want one a replacement for my n95 8gb. the design is for teenagers but this phone is for all ages and techy people. next year nokia could come up with another touchscreen with more features maybe a nseries touchscreen with oled display (OLED seems to be better than LCD makes the pictures more lively) 5mpix camera updated firmware upgraded touchscreen and best of all affordable price for the masses. "nokia comes with music" is a very good idea i think because you can download millions of songs for a year with a certain amount i don't exactly know how much. i love symbian OS than any other OS very user friendly...

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Stop lying. The 5800xm doesnt have multitouch. It uses the same dsp as n85 (mobile-review confirms this) and n810 isnt a phone plus it doesnt have half as much features as you claim.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970How can you say that 5800 is bad when you are using other people review? I know that your review came from another website, you even copy paste all of the sentences, because I've already read that review not so long ago and I still remember it.
it is better to wait until the phone release later (it is argued that it will be on the market in early 2009 though) and make your own review, not based on other people.

The essay most probably is a full lie and n810 is not phone, doesn't have camera but 5 mpx and 720x480.You are just Nokia hater.

Bakekang, 10 Oct 2008Actually, I dont really like touchscreen phones with no phy... moreEven if you were to compare the n85 to the 5800xm, picking a winner wouldnt be easy. The n85 may have dual slide design, fm transmitter and 5mp camera, but the 5800 trades those for new OS, much bigger and better screen, more durable body, (candybar phones last longer than most slides or flips) more music playback and a better sales package. With the 5mp camera, you are only assured of bigger pictures. 3.2mp is also quite huge and is definitely more than enough for a computer screen.
Other than that they arent that different. Same build materials, same dsp, same processor, dual led flash vga videos at 30fps, etc.
Besides, they are aimed at 2 different kinds of people. N85 is an expensive phone for gaming and music. 5800xm is an affordable phone for music and videos.

Bakekang, how u want to compare N85 and this 5800. One is high end model (N Series) and one is xpressmusic targeted to younger and music lovers. One more thing... THE PRICE!

If you want to compare such the way. Try to compare N85 dual LED flash with 6220 classic xenon flash!!! Yet, 6220 classic is cheaper but with better flash!!!

Of course N85 much better than 5800, BUT N85 300-400 hundred expensive than 5800...so??? stop compare this 5800 with N85...in my country N85 already sell for US$800...and btw 5800 expected to sell for US$390...think twicely!

Chameleon, 10 Oct 2008...and you pay 2/3 times more for feature packs, when - let... moreActually, I dont really like touchscreen phones with no physical keypad hardware. They look so plain and blank. They're not stylish. My favorites are slide phones especially dual sliders like N85. Slide phones are great and very versatile. And for me, I'd go for the active matrix OLED screen rather than a high resolution touchscreen. U know OLED screen does not have backlight. The pixels themselves light up. So even in power saver mode, u still see the screen saver in total darkness. The screen is always "on" unless the screen displays a total black background. How are you supposed to play hardcore games with 5800? No mobile gaming can be better than a Gameboy/PSP-like gaming like N85 and the like. Another thing is, dual slider was pioneered by Nokia themselves. They did not copy it from anybody else. While 5800 is too iPhone-ish. And N85 is a "complete" phone. 5800 lacks the 5MP camera, FM transmitter, and Naviwheel which are present in N85. And N85 is really the evolution of Nokia's slider phones. It follows the design trend of N81 but more sophisticated becos of more rounded edges, better choice of materials, not cheap glossy plastic this time, smooth spring loaded sliding mechanism, and intelligently designed external media keys that change labels according to the purpose - in music mode the media keys light up the rewind/fforward/play/pause/stop labels; in game mode media keys light up the two gaming buttons; and in gallery mode the media keys light up the slideshow play/pause/atop/zoom in/zoom out labels. Very nice! And one more thing, it's got USB charging. So N85 is so much better than 5800, at least in my not so humble opinion!
