Nokia Lumia 800 gets a firmware update, fixes volume bugs

30 April, 2012

The Nokia Lumia 800 has seen numerous firmware updates fixing its battery problems, backlight issues and various bugs. The latest patch, however, has brought up strange volume behavior on the Finnish WP7 device.

And to fix it, Nokia is releasing the 12072 firmware update, which addresses this issue. Furthermore, the update lets the camera automatically detect 50Hz and 60Hz flickering from electronic lights when flicker reduction is on. Power management behavior is improved as well, thanks to better charger recognition.

The 12072 update should be up for grabs, so check your Zune software update to get it. Drop us a comment below to confirm whether the firmware fix has done its job.

Nice to see MS & Nokia being proactive in sorting out bugs early and protecting their brand. All set for the launch of W8 on PC, Tablet and mobile version.
