To S35r: yes I've heard of the E-series but they are not user friendly. The E61i is wide and looks like a slice of bread. No chance of stereo speakers; the earphone has only one side as if people had only one ear!! The camera is underpowered etc. As for the E90 we are talking of some serious weight and size here. The big screen doesn't even show videos in full screen. In other words the E series is not as user or entertainment friendly. The N series are the entertainers of phones. They need to add QWERTY to give the buyer choice and to make it easier to enter text.

Friends, Nokians, countrymen after deep meditation I have seen the future. The first N series with a full QWERTY. The rough specs would be slideout QWERTY keyboard; Sirf Star III GPS chipset; VGA 24 bit three inch screen; 128MB RAM; fast processor with dual CPU; expandable memory; 1500mAh battery. This together with the usual N95features will put Nokia clearly at the top. Nokia are you listening??

To the previous comment: Have you ever seen the E61 or perhaps even the E90? Maybe even the old 9500. Or the 9300i? Maybe the N-series do not have keyboards, but if you want a phone with a keyboard get one of those or get an XDA; turst me, they are much better! Oh, and Nokia say it is LIKE using a computer. it is metaphorical. Don't take it literally.

Oh yes... Just a small word to Nokia ( I am not even sure whether their senior staff read these forums. Does anyone know their e-mail address??); you guys and gals have made 18 N series phones and not one of them have a QWERTY keyboard yet you insist on calling them multimedia computers. Can you imagine using a desktop comp with a T9 keypad instead of a QWERTY?? I don't know what you lot are playing at. Please in a future N series device could you be more considerate to people who type on the phone. Sure you have the E series but they are not as entertainment friendly. A funny site is the E61i with only a one sided earpiece!! Come on Nokia give us a slideout QWERTY coupled with Sirf Star III chipset and 128MB RAM and we will be singing!!

Most of Nokia's high end phone uses SHARP LCD so display will sharp (not as VGA) and clear there will be minor visibility of pixel and soon Nokia will also use Samsung LCD display definately N95s display will be better than windows phone that uses same size and resolution i.e (QVGA)

Andy, I don't think there is much difference between the size of the buttons on the numerical keypad of the N95 and the 8GB version. As for the lack of a lens protector Nokia should include a stringed pouch for the 8GBversion just like they did for the N93. This will protect both the lens and screen from sharp objects in pockets. As for the price it will surely come down a few months after release just like what happened with its elder brother. I know you are trying to justify keeping your N95 but I must say that if money was not a limiting factor then I would definitely go for the 8GB. It has more RAM (128MB) and a better battery which were limiting factors in the older device.

the nokia brand has really proved its worth. basically i feel the nokia n95 8gb is the crown jewel of the entire nokia series. With integrated GPS and WLAN,gprs, audio jack, wcdma & EDGE....... what more could you ask for in a phone although i am some what suprised by the fact that it does not have a SD slot but i feel that has been accomodated for by the 8GB of internal memory as it practically inexhaustible.but a dude told me SE just come up with a kinda K750 or somt'n of d sort with 5mp & 8GB card but for me nokia is still ma brand of choice despite it being associated with recurrent faults.but i'd really like them to do somt'n 'bout their new smaller pin plugs & openings mostly in the N series.Asides that........NOKIA RULES!

Nokia as made a big mistake with the Front keypads buttons they have made them too small on the N95i as i think the N95 were small an could easily make a error using them, they have made the screen a big bigger but i thought the N95 screen was just the right size,an removing the camera lens cover will also make any person who as the N95i take very good care of the lens or it could get scratched or badly marked everytime they put there mobile in there pockets an could make the picture quality not as good as the N95,i am going stick with my N95 an put a Full Black fascia set on it to make it look like the N95i instead an also one thing i can not wait to see the price for Nokia putting 8gb memory on the N95i i bet its going to be very expensive indeed

Mmm... the CPU is the same dual CPU seen in the N93 and N95. I suppose it is too late to make the changes I would have liked to see but dear Nokia really need to put a VGA screen in this device. 2.8 inches is too large for QVGA res. Oh yes ... And what are they going to do about the deaf TI GPS?? They better find a more sensitive chip fast!! Remember Nokia legally reserve the right to make changes so they better think carefully before launching.

                      to A90A

N95 8gb screen will more pixelated and worst than normal N95. N95 8gb will display the blur picture..no doubt!

If the battery life has improved then this would be the best handset in the whole universe. Who said that sony makes bettar camera mobiles? Please read the comparisons carefully. May be sony was the winner in the 2mp segment but not in the 3.2 and 5mp segments.

The camera r the same but Nokia got more function include GPS and stuff. The internal memory is 8GB (flash!!!!) but Sony only has 8GB memory card which is alot slower. So overall I would say N95 is better

The screen size of N95 8GB is 2.8" and that of N95 is 2.6". But both has 240 x 320 pixels?????

                                Can someone comment on this?

you just comparing camera and card slot of n95 with SE K850.but n95 is symbian, built in gps navigation, office document viewer,TV out, WMA player etc. these r not available in SE.Nokia is best all over the world and so advance.SE is just for kids. or music lovers.Nokia is more reliable. But not SE.

N95 8GB has 2.8" display with QVGA resolution. According to the guys at Nokia Go Play, they noticed that the fonts are stretched which is not so nice. Nokia should've incorporated a VGA resolution for this. Slider has been improved a bit but not as good as E65's slider. I like it but it's so pricey. I would rather go for the standard N95.

I'm reading that this mobile is coming soon. However, I see sellers in the web who already sell this N95 8GB. Could it be possible?
