One M9's next major update tipped to bring Guest Mode

26 May, 2015

The next major software update to the One M9, which was unveiled by HTC at this year's Mobile World Congress in March and went on sale a few weeks later, will bring some interesting new features, according to HTC ROM developer LlabTooFeR.

In a tweet sent out yesterday, LlabTooFeR said that the update (likely Android 5.1) will bring along Guest Mode - a feature that enables you to set up separate profiles for guests, allowing you to share your device without worrying about your personal stuff - as well as the ability to control the device's screen colour temperature.

There was, however, no word on exactly when the update would roll out. The news comes nearly a month after there were reports that the Android 5.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will bring Guest Mode. That update is expected to arrive next month.
