Purported BlackBerry Krypton images leak

Himanshu, 21 September 2017

Although the BlackBerry Krypton has collected almost all the necessary certifications (including those from Bluetooth SIG, WiFi Alliance, and the US FCC), there was no information on its design yet.

Well, that changes now, as a couple of images of the handset leaked. They focus on the back of the device and reveal a return of the carbon finish.

From what all we've gathered so far, the Krypton will be powered by either Snapdragon 625 or 626 chipset, and sport a Full HD display. RAM will be 4GB, and battery capacity will be 4,000mAh.

The device is said to be full-touch, and is expected to be made official sometime next month.

Meanwhile, the BlackBerry Keyone has landed in Russia. The device - in its regular silver version with 3GB/32GB memory configuration - is up for pre-order on retailer Svyaznoy's website. Price tag is RUB 39,990 ($690).

Why ... again and again Blackberry uses second-tier chipset (Snapdragon 625 or 626). Again and again there is no top quality. I use blackberry phones for 14 years. I think my PRIV is my last Blackberry phone.

I am very surprised someone even buying those things with this insane prices
