Report: Samsung Galaxy Note8 unveiling set for August 26 in New York

Himanshu, 20 June 2017

There have already been rumors that the Samsung Galaxy Note8 could be unveiled in August. And now, we have the exact date. According to a new report - which cites a Samsung official - the company will unveil the next Galaxy Note smartphone on August 26. The event will be held in New York.

While that's definitely earlier than the time-frame when the new iPhones will be made official by Apple, it's still a few weeks later compared to the early August launch of the ill-fated Galaxy Note7 last year.

The report also notes that the handset will sport a 6.3-inch Infinity Display, and come with a dual rear camera, Bixby, as well as a slightly upgraded S-pen. Like the Galaxy S8 series, fingerprint sensor is on the back, but this time it will be centrally-located.
