Despite it's small size, small screen and my now needing glasses, I've quite taken to this phone. In fact, the small size means that I can fit it in any pocket of any clothes and its unobtrusive and easy to hold. It's now replaced my old Palm Treo 650 as my 'main' phone given the increased performance and facilities. As I mainly text, the built-in keyboard is stupidly limiting and I evaluated several of the alternative soft keyboards. I find SlideIt keyboard works best on the small screen - not up to the input speed and accuracy of my Palm but not bad at all.
In fact, I like x10 mini so much that I've just bought an Xperia Mini Pro ...

For longer battery stanby time do Airplane trick. Google for Cell standby - android time without signal (50%) bug...
In few words: connect phone on charger, press turn on button and select airplane mode, go to standby with power on button, after one minute go and turn airplane off. Disconnect phone from charger. I belive this turns off GSM antena searching signal while 3g is selected...so 0% and 100% signal coverage give 50% (2G and 3G).
Now i get 2 days usage no problem, before it was 1 day...now i'm happy!!! :D
This bug is present in phones that show in cell standby, Time Without Signal = 50% or more...that would be android 1.6, 2.1, 2.2...latest versions i dont know...check your time without signal!

I have this phone for almost a year now. The only disadvantage here is the difficulty in texting. Aside from that, you have great cam and music support.

OMG what a lot of b*tching on this phone!!! if you do not understand android (linux pimped down) then leave this phone alone.
it can do more then the blackberry 9000 bold (unfortunatly i have that aswell) and yes it does do file transfer. if u b*tch about this phone then u might know u bought the wrong phone, u should have payed a little xtra for the xperia x8. i do need to compliment sony and erricson i left the 2 brands years ago before they fused into one, they still do a great job.
so my verdict it looks good like my other phone nokia 8600 luna, it does more than my stupid phone blackberry 9000bold, it does not compare to my iphone but its great!
i call it my iphone sidekick, and theres nothing bad about the x10mini just the buyers who dont know what they buying!!!
