Motorola RAZR i hands-on: First look

18 September 2012
Earlier this month Motorola announced a trio of RAZR phones in New York, but we knew all along that wasn’t the end of it - both Moto and Intel had sent out invites for a European event in London, promising to take us to the edge...

i don't know why moto is not making available razr series in India. these phones are good and moto can grab a quite good market share.
hope they will do so soon.

Look Moto, we don't want no stinkin' Intel. Give us an ARM-based RAZR M with a NON-PENTILE screen and release in Europe. Release an additional model with slide-out QWERTY in EUROPE and I will be dying to give my money to you.

The app compatibility is good as the ARM alternatives in terms om cmpatibility. Their x86 based CPUs supports all apps that use the Android SDK and run on the Dalvik Java virtual machine, as wel as most Android native development(NDK) ones.

wow! The performance of the single core Intel CPU is nothing short of amazing! If they make Atom dual core @ 2GHz, i asume it performs like ARM quad's! Job well done Intel! Bravo! Hope this phone comes to europe so i can buy it. Why? Because its lighting fast!

At some point 'phone' computers will likely supplant personal computers for most general purpose use; if intel can't get a foothold they will wither. Motorola isn't remotely as invested it this experiment's success, so it's hard to say how this handset will work out (support-wise, I mean).

ASD, 18 Sep 2012My One X has 6600+ quadrant score, wtf is this?Your overclocked top range One X reaches 6600 in quadrant. Not that quadrant means everyhing. The standard one x reaches 4500, and is a lot much expensive then this RAZR i, which is a mid-range and compact phone. One X also lacks memory card slot, is bulky and does not have NFC.

Two completely different products for different buyers.

BTW, you bought the wrong phone. Optimus 4X has the same power as one x, but more versatility. But, you could have done worse - luckily you didn't buy an S3. Have som comfort knowing that :)

this is android on an x86 processor - this is unique and rare. and therefore I think that app compatibilty would be a diseaster!

and I am also pessimistic that intel/motorola won't update its android version a lot... and when they finally do - it would be with a big lag behind the rest of the market and a lot behind the latest android version...

so in conclusion, I think that customer-wise it won't be a good experience. because of the software.

intel just want suckers that it would make experiments upon... don't fall to that trap!

Intel makes the best CPUs on the market and i think they will lead even in mobile phones technologies. A 1core intel CPU clocked at 2-2.5GHZ can beat any quad-core a9 cpu...

I wonder if Moto have implemented any form of "palm rejection" algorithm (like found on laptop touchpads) to deal with accidental screen presses caused by such a narrow bezel? I often find that the flap of skin between my thumb and index finger can accidentally trigger touch-screens.

Why is the ppi too low :( at least it would be something more than 300 ppi not 256. I dont understand why a company makes a top spec phone with a low quality display ...

It definitely looks good. Better than iPhone 5, atleast on paper. Will look forward to its performance review in real world.

when Razr Maxx was released, i liked it very much as it had all the average things and a HUGE battery.
Now when Razr M i was going to buy but now Razr I so sexy 2Ghz
