Anonymous, 25 Oct 2012Agree and even sgs2 is getting jellybean officiallyYeah, my move from Android back to iOS has been good, as both offer the same features I use day to day. I'm missing the FM radio a bit, but the ecosystem makes up for it, with my opinion that the App store is better.
There are other reasons I switched over, but I'm open to both Android and iOS. I will be a bit envious when Jelly Bean is released for the SGS2, and XDA get hold of it :p
I'm watching with interest for when the Lumia 920 is released. We need another player in the Smartphone OS market to challenge Android and iOS to make it more exciting.

If you dont count the ties, S3 wins 5 - 3 against iPhone5 :p
Its a shame that iPhone5 is more expensive than S3 but still has a smaller screen and couldnt beat S3 outright in comparison.

Blankman, 25 Oct 2012It's unfair to compare by specs, as the SGS3 will win hands... moreand then again the SGS3 will win hands down... you know why, tons of more features, and useability... costumisation, you can make it as simple as you want, or as accessible as you want, or as complicated as you want, it's all up to you...
with the iphone, all what you get is the 4x5 Grid, and the standard functions.

unreliable connectivity, calls and internet is a problem on apple products which makes them useless.

Throwing aside fanboy opinion, what we have here are two great smartphones, which are natural evolutions from the 4S and SGS2. As an iPhone 5 owner, I am fully satisfied with my purchase, as coming from the SGS2. But after playing with both of these new phones, I think this year has been slightly disappointing for all Smartphones.
Why? Well, the SGS3 is a great upgrade from whatever phone you owned two years ago (taking into account the length of contracts), but SGS2 owners will likely still be enjoying their phones thanks to XDA and not want to upgrade for a bigger screen or faster processor when Jelly Bean is on the way. Same goes for 4S owners who gained Siri, a nice 8mp cam and great call quality.
It's all about preference in the end. But the last great leap forward was with the Nokia N95 and iPhone 3GS for me.

they forget the most important feature SHaring .!!! press share on the galaxy and see tons of areas while iphone u have to go to every single app and search for its option... it doesnt take a genuis the S3 all the way

By their comparison, Samsungs GS III beats the iPhone 5.
Finally tally is:
5 to 3 with 5 tied (categories).
So, the Galaxy S III is better (it also benchmarks better, but that wasn't really tested here).
Considering the GS III was released over 3 months before the iPhone 5 (almost an eternity in the cell phone industry), it is a pretty great phone.
It also means that the iPhone 5 was OUTDATED at release.
What happened to Apple's fabled history of innovation?
Apple no longer innovates...they litigate.
